Stormy Spooner is at her wits' end. Careening towards bitter after a nasty divorce, she sometimes wonders what her life is becoming.

After unearthing a cryptic set of lines from a dusty album cover, Stormy tries the impossible: to resurrect Phillip Deville, enigmatic former frontman of the Bloomer Demons. Stormy's love for her favorite dead rockstar knows no bounds...but it was all supposed to be a joke.

When she answers a knock on her door the next day and finds herself face to face with the dark-haired rock god of her every teenage fantasy, her entire world is turned upside down.

Turns out, she's awakened more than just Philip, and Stormy will have to do battle against a cast of strange characters to keep herself and her new undead boyfriend safe.

About the Author

Lillah Lawson has been writing since she was 8 years old, when she won a short story contest at her elementary school. The story was about a Princess who gets tired of waiting for the Prince to show up and saves herself. Once she saw her words printed in the local newspaper, she knew she wanted to be a writer.
Having written professionally as well as dabbling in poetry, children’s fiction and essays, her debut novel, Monarchs Under the Sassafras Tree, was published by Regal House Publishing in September 2019. Her dark fantasy deadrockstar is set to be published by Parliament House Press in Fall 2020, with a sequel, the wolfden, TBA.
Lillah held a weekly column for Persephone Magazine for a number of years, and has been published in Flagpole Magazine, MSNBC, and more.
She lived abroad in New Zealand for five years, where she attended Massey University, majoring in World Religions and Women’s Studies, two subjects which fueled her literary fire. She is especially fond of New Zealand culture and considers the country her second home.
Lillah enjoys writing both historical fiction and what she calls nerdy-noir, and is happiest when straddling literary genres.
In addition to writing, Lillah’s passions include cycling, playing bass, baking, genealogy, and travel. She is a voracious reader, music lover and a pop culture junkie. She is currently working on the sequel to deadrockstar, as well as a historical fiction novel set in the late-1960’s.
She lives near Athens, GA.
