Seth Andrews is a great storyteller, and this book is no exception.  While Dawkins and Hitchens are more about the debate, Andrews is more about the experience.  He chronicles his "coming out" at a very personal level. He's relatable, and this is a great read for anyone who has gone through the atheism coming out, is thinking abut it, or has a family member who has come out as a nonbeliever.  His book helps you understand the process through their eyes.

Quick read and to the point!

The best parts are when the author relates his personal experiences, but those who have read the works of Dawkins, Hitchens, etc. won't find too much new info. For those who haven't, this is a really good primer on refuting religious nonsense.

Seth Andrews' story is inspirational and should be read by all people who are questioning the I faith . I'm sure this book has its detractors, but I think it is a great read.

Seth takes us through his journey to reason in a nice, clear and effective way. For atheist who were not religious, it helps understand better the struggle people have when they realize that their main belief is fake.

I am a fan of The Thinking Atheist and I am really enjoying his book. I can really relate to his story and have had the some of the same stuggles. His book and his show have been a comfort and had let me know that there are so many others out there that have had the same doubts and fears. I am thankful to have discovered his show and I highly recommend his book.

Seth and the TTA community have been inspirational for me. While I've heard him tell his story many times, this book was still informative. I'd recommend it for anyone picking their way through doubts from religion.

Seth has an excellent podcast, The Thinking Atheist, that wraps around and enhances his life story that he shares in this book. His message is very helpful and supportive for those who no longer believe in religion. He is a very good resource for anyone trying to shed the shackles of oppressive faith systems. Start with this book, it will point you in the right direction away from the suffocation of religion.

I am a huge fan of the thinking atheist and have wanted to read this book since I listened to my first of Seth's podcasts. It is nice to read something that I can relate to very easily. A great book told by an incredible story teller.

Anyone making or who has made the journey from faith to reason will find comfort in this book. It is easy to read and Seth is not an ass like Dawkins (even though I love Dawkins!).
