Depth Astrology: An Astrological Handbook - Volume 2: Planets in Signs by Gargatholil

This is the second volume of Gargatholil's 4-volume work, Depth Astrology: An Astrological Handbook--the first comprehensive handbook interpreting the astrological symbol set in the tradition of such pioneers as Dane Rudhyar, Liz Greene and Stephen Arroyo. In this volume, planetary placements in each of the 12 zodiacal signs are interpreted using the psycho-transformative depth astrology approach. "Planets" include the 10 traditional astrological planets, the Ascendant and Midheaven, the Moon's Nodes and the Part of Fortune. Each interpretation contains: an explanation of the essential meaning and potential manifestations of the planet in its sign placement based on the interaction between the planetary and zodiacal symbols, common meanings of the planetary placement on a positive-to-negative continuum, the transcendent potential of the planetary placement, manifestations of the planetary placement from a place of insecurity, and the "influence" of the planet when aspecting or aspected by another planet. The handbook is searchable using the Table of Contents, with links back to the Table of Contents for ease of multiple look-ups.

Depth Astrology - Planets in Signs is a valuable tool for the novice just entering the field of depth astrology, for the astrological professional desiring a look-up of planetary interpretations that provide guidance to the unfolding potentialities of planetary placements, or for anyone seeking to use the astrological symbol-set as a tool for self-discovery and growth.

Novices are encouraged to purchase Volume 1 - Introduction. The complete 4-volume set is also available as a single e-book.

About the Author

Gargatholil's interest in astrology began more than 40 years ago with his discovery of the works of Dane Rudhyar and Alan Leo. In the 1980s, Gargatholil;s knowledge of astrology was further informed by the writing of Donna Cunningham, Stephen Arroyo and Liz Greene. Gargatholil has always appreciated astrology as a tool for self-knowledge and personal growth. He believes, while transits may be valuable for understanding the "astrol weather" one is experiencing, it is the natal chart that holds the key to interpreting the drives and motivations, qualities, internal conflicts and challenges, and potential of the personality resident in this lifetime. Gargatholil has long rejected using astrology to attempt to predict the future on both practical and spiritual grounds. Gargatholil has a Libra Sun and Taurus Ascendant (both ruled by Venus), with Moon in Capricorn in the tenth house (both ruled by Saturn) cusp Aquarius (ruled by Uranus). The primary rulers of Gargatholil's chart, Venus and Saturn, are conjunct in Virgo, while the Moon forms the point of a Yod to Saturn and Uranus. Understandably, Gargatholil has a straight gig and does not wish his identity to be revealed. He also is grateful to have been blessed with the capacity to bring the content of the Higher Mind to a more concrete and structured level. Gargatholil has eclectic taste in music. His criteria for considering something worthwhile listening to boils down to "as long as she's been doin' it right."

If you are looking for astrology works that are more in-depth than any other out there, you have found them. Each book offers in depth analysis- The Signs, Planets, Houses, and Aspects (Vol. 1) Planets in Sign (Vol. 2), Planets in Houses (Vol. 3), and Planets in Aspect (Vol 4), with a general description as well as the most highest possible manifestation, the "Transcendent Potential" and the lowest potential, if you are acting out of "Insecurity." Reading the "Transcendent Potential" of each placement inspires me want to soar to highest height possible of my being, the "Insecurity" makes me want to purge all that is unnecessary and detrimental from my being. Be prepared to have the very essence of you described in stunning and intricate analysis as the interplay and exchange of energies between planets (and people) is not something that can be simply glossed over in a couple of key phrases as is done in many beginners books. Each person(ality) is as multi-faceted and colorful as a kaleidoscope, reading these works will give you an idea of just how intricate and multi-dimensional each kaleidoscope image (personality/soul) really is. Gargatholil has clearly spent many years and much dedication/devotion to understand astrology as the complex cosmic science that it is, the love that is infused throughout is tangible when you are reading it, your soul will be touched and spoken to.

Nowadays most astrology books  focus on the qualities and characteristics of the signs and how their energies operate in every day life, work and relationships. Gargatholil manages to take everything a step further. He gives a totally new perspective on astrology. His books helped me understand the true meaning of the planets and how they operate not only in every day life, but also on a spiritual level. How you can most benefit by the energies of each sign if you want to work with yourself beyond the mundane. It is the first time I see someone explaining the meaning of the signs in every planet, ascendant, midheaven and part of fortune. And he gives you the chance through his books to understand how the signs work for someone who has a healthy self-esteem and someone who might feel insecure about himself. But he doesn't just give interpretations. He tries to help by suggesting how this energy could be transmuted so that the person could evolve towards the best version of himself
