TWO years have passed since the blood mage Ba'tvian Delthanurk had killed his former mentor and taken his student, the elven lady Nerisse se li Astorae, for his own. With the Mancers still on the hunt for them, the lovers travel into the northern wilderness during the dead of winter. There Ba'tvian continues to formulate plans for the future, while Nerisse struggles to overcome an ability that has now become a hindrance. About the Author

A confessed bibliophile, I've been reading all of my life. Eventually, I progressed from just reading stories to actually writing them. Once I realized just how much fun it was to play god in fictional worlds, there was no turning back. I've been writing ever since. In 2008, I co-founded Trinity Gateways, a writing website, with fellow authors LJ Gastineau and Tricia Sparks. We post rough chapters of our current projects on the site, and in 2012 opened submissions for our first anthology, Shadows of the Mind, and our reading/writing newsletter. The first half of the series, His Own, Her Lord, & His Beast, were compiled into a single printed volume, Descent Into Darkness, Vol. 1: He Begins, in May 2012.
