What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

Praise for the new edition:
"I would recommend this book to anyone who is involved in disaster preparedness and to any nurse who is intelligent enough to recognize the dangers in today's world." (4 STARS)—Doody's Review Service
Praise for the first edition:
"This textbook is a gold mine of state-of-the-art knowledge and information concerning disasters as a threat to public health. Most impressive are the extensive learning resources made available to the reader. Each chapter begins with key messages, Learning objectives, and Overview and ends with a summary, study questions, Internet activities, references and additional readings The textbook is so resourceful that it serves as a station for independent learning and readers may in fact earn continuing education contact hours through the University of Rochester School of Nursing....This text now needs to make its way into the curricula of nursing education."
—LeaRea Galarowicz, MS, RN, BC, Clinical Professor and Outreach Program Coordinator, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Continuing Nursing Education, Madison, Wisconsin
