About the Author

Alessandro Brambilla is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Pisa and a process chemical engineer and application and quality supervisor at ALPHA Process Control. He was a full professor and head of the Chemical Engineering Department and director of the Chemical Engineering Program and PhD courses at the University of Pisa. Dr. Brambilla was also a visiting professor at the University of California, Davis, and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He teaches many training courses to engineers in industry (refining and petrochemical) and from companies offering services for advanced control applications.
