Loved this Christmas story between nurse Shelly and Dr Peter. Peter is on his way with his twins, 9 year olds that he just found out about to Marietta to spend the holidays with his family. Shelly is also on her way back to Marietta with her son and niece from her wedding in Vegas that didn't happen. Peter is involved in an accident, with whom no other than, Santa Claus (Mr Nichols). Shelly comes upon the accident. Two lost souls, that find comfort in each other that develop into so much more. Can it be love in one week or is it just lust. Such a fun story, with so many Christmas traditions in Marietta, really puts you in the mood for the holidays. Great chemistry between Peter and Shelly. I really felt for Peter, not knowing about his twins, just wow. Loved all of kids!! A well written story that I had a hard time putting down. I highly recommend.

I have been waiting for " Dr Peter" to get his book for SO long and it was so worth the wait! Author Patricia e Fischer has given us a wonderful look into Marietta at Christmas time. We also got to see more into the history of Lucy, Edmund & Peter and how they got to be like they are. If you have read the other books ( if not I highly recommend them) you know each sibling is very caring and giving and yes very much into medicine. In this book we get to know Peter but also one of the nurses Shelly and her family too. This book had me smiling, laughing and yes even crying at times. I adore not just Marietta but this author. She knows how to reach deep down into my heart and squeeze... Thank you Tule for giving us authors like this to read not just at Christmas but all year long.

I enjoyed reading about Peter and Shelly in Doctor for Christmas by Patricia W. Fischer, book three in her Marietta Medical series. Dr. Peter Davidson travels to Marietta, Montana to be with his siblings as he is in need of family support. Peter had his hands full with grieving eight year old twins, he hadn’t known about; receiving guardianship of them after the recent unexpected death of their mother. As he approaches the town he has a slight accident with Santa and his sleigh. While waiting for the EMTs, Nurse Shelly Westbrook arrives on the scene. Shelly, accompanied by her teen son and niece, was returning to Marietta after a disastrous trip to Las Vegas and a final break with her cheating ex-husband. Peter falls for Shelly at first sight, but with all of disappointments she’s suffered at the hands of her ex-, Shelly does not trust or believe in love at first sight. It might just take a miracle for Peter to convince her that they belonged together. The way Peter’s family accepted and loved on his children was what a family does. Also, Shelly’s son and niece were wonderful role models as the four of them spent time together. Being able to work at the hospital was helpful for Peter, especially in figuring out whether or not he and the kids could move to Marietta. The addition of these four children played a vital role in this story, enriching it. I loved how Shelly and Peter helped each other find the happiness they deserved. Ms. Fischer wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. It had me laughing, crying and everything in between. This story is filled with sexual attraction, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. I highly recommend Doctor for Christmas to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Christmas spells the end to a heartbreaking year for nurse, Shelly Westbrook. Could a change of scenery be just the pickup she needs to change her point of view? Doctor for Christmas is a sweetheart of a way to target seasonal blues. Patricia Fischer helps ward off the chill of winter with a heartwarming tale of new beginnings and happy endings.

After travelling to remarry her ex-husband he lets her down yet again. Nurse Shelly Westbrook returns home with their seventeen year old son, Freddie,  and her niece, Tia, only to discover an accident en route involving a car and Santa's sleigh! Dr. Peter Davidson is heading to Marietta to visit with his sister Lucy and brother Edmund planning to introduce them to his nine year old twins, Polly and Digory, who he's known about for less than a month.  Peter has hit his head, cutting it and causing concussion and he is convinced that Shelly is an angel . . . . Staying in Marietta for Christmas his children are quickly introduced to the caring community, helped by Shelly and her children. Get ready to go ice skating on Miracle Lake, join in the festive activities, experience more surprises - including some from Santa - as well as romance in this heartwarming story in one of my all time favourite settings. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to. Peter is struggling to be a parent and help the children cope with their grief and turmoil. Shelly is so caring and amazing, especially after how poorly she's been treated in the past. The attraction between her and Peter is mutual but will they allow themselves to love after all the heartache in their past? There are some tear jerking moments in this very moving read, especially when Peter discovers just why their mother disappeared from his life and never told him about their twins. It is a delightful, moving read that I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys emotive festive romances with children acting as matchmakers! I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this review is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.

After the wedding that didn't happen Shelly Westbrook just wants to get her son and niece back to Marietta and make the best of what's left of the holidays. On the way they come across an accident between a car and that a sleigh?? Dr. Peter Davidson has just found out he's a father to an adorable set of twins. They are on their way to Marietta to spend the holidays with his family when a sleigh darts out in front of him. He's positive the face he looks up into is that of an angel. He may be hallucinating but it's Shelly's dreams that are about to come true. Wonderful holiday story that I think everyone will enjoy.
