Theater professor Nicky Abbondanza is directing a Sherlock Holmes musical in a professional summer stock production at Treemeadow College, co-starring his husband and theatre professor colleague Noah Oliver as Dr. John Watson. When cast members begin toppling over like hammy actors at a curtain call, Nicky dons Holmes’ persona on stage and off. Once again Nicky and Noah will need to use their drama skills to figure out who is lowering the street lamps on the actors before the handsome couple get half-baked on Baker Street. You will be applauding and shouting Bravo for Joe Cosentino’s fast-paced, side-splittingly funny, edge-of-your-seat entertaining fifth novel in this delightful series. Curtain up, the game is afoot!

Is Holmes a Homo? has to be the most outrageous (but extremely funny) Play Title that this eponymous founder author of quintessential modern farce (try saying that three times) has brainstormed to date and I LOVED it. Yes, my Nicky and Noah (Kings of Whodunnities) are back on home turf with their adopted son, Taavi. Nicky is ready to take Awards galore for his production of Is Holmes a Homo?. But "The Show Must Go On" has never been more appropriate when the bodies start to drop quicker than any of the President Advisors, lol. I only hope that Joe Cosentino had as much fun writing this as I had reading it, because it was OTT fun, fun, fun. And yes Author I agree with you -"murder is dastardly business" (especially when you are writing them). As always, there was the subtle (ok, maybe not so subtle) political message running through the storyline, but this one gave grave thoughts because of the possible reality of it and I salute you for that. "All the world truly is a stage" is maybe true, but today it was Joe Cosentino's stage, he truly broke a leg with this one. If you like comic genius humour mixed with a very clever plotline, then this is for you. Highly recommended. Five Big Fat Drama Stars from me. P.s. I knew that all those vitamin pills that Nicky addictively takes, would come in handy one day.........
