In this final installment of the Cheney Duvall series, the day that Cheney has both feared and hoped for arrives: Shiloh proposes. Her answer, however, can only be a refusal. Shiloh is not a believer, and he grows bitter over her rejection. Cheney, meanwhile, is devastated that she has allowed herself to fall so fully in love with him. The two are “wavering, driven with the wind”. . . .

When they arrive in New York, the couple discovers that close friends are having second thoughts about their own marriage. Like Cheney and Shiloh, they struggle to solve their problems. A revengeful plan that could ruin Cheney’s reputation and medical practice is the final trial that draw them into the arms of the Lord.

About the Author

Lynn Morris, daughter of popular historical novelist Gilbert Morris, is a recognized and talented writer in her own right. The first novel in this eight-book series was originally published in 1994, and it was an immediate bestseller (nearly half-a million combined sales of the eight novels in the series). The author’s careful background explorations of the historical setting, the medical customs of the late 1800s, and the training institutions finally being opened to women, make for intriguing plots and dramatic tensions for the memorable character of Cheney Duvall.

Lynn has a grown daughter and lives near her parents in Alabama.

This one was a bit more rough. It was slower in spots, ended a bit too quickly because I wanted their adventures to continue and to see where they ended up! I was also not too keen on Shiloh, a presentable man of honor and morals, who threw it all away momentarily because he was let down.

I love this series. I'm going through withdrawls because Cheney and Shiloh:The Inheritance doesn't come out until this fall. This was a great book, but I must say it got a little slow in the middle. I was probably just impatient for the end. The ending is great, predictable, but great. In love this series and recommend them to everyone. Read number 7(if you haven't) Gilber and Lynn Morris are good authors.

After months of anticipation I finally read the book. I cannot believe how this book constantly kept me on the edge of my seat. I am greatly anticipating the next book that will be released later this year. Until that day I know with great assurance that I will be having withdrawl for not knowing what lies ahead for Shiloh and Cheney

After ordering Driven With the Wind in march of this year I couldn't wait for it to come. But it was well worth the wait. If you've read all the previous books (like I have) you'll love this one. Cheney and Shiloh have been through so much together, that you can't believe that they would part. But if you haven't read it, you won't know til you do!

The long awaited book is finally here! Yes, it is as good as the reviews. Cheney and Shiloh head for New York for a wedding after the adventure in Hawaii. Shiloh's vengeful cousin Bain attempts to kidnap Cheney and get rid of Shiloh. The plot is quite good with many twists and unusual events. However, the book raises more questions than it answers. Are Shiloh and Bain brothers?!?

Aww, man...When I finally get the book, I'll probably spend the whole time looking for the proposal! ::Slaps herself for looking up the book at all:: It's completely ruined for me now!! Bad publishers! Bad! Okay, enough of that. Lynn Morris has got to be one of my favorite authors, and I don't mean that lightly. The rest of the Dr. Cheney Duvall series is awesome. I've read all but one book (the one where Shiloh meets Maeve, an evil book for sure), about 4 times and I have been patiently awaiting 'Driven with the Wind.' The characters come alive (I'm sure most readers wish for a Shiloh of their own), but it goes beyond that. The writing is solid, without being overly flowery or complicated, but is not in the least simplistic. I love this series! (And I don't want it to end :o(
