Overview

BBC Opus Arte presents Léo Delibes' 19th century classic Coppélia, performed by the Royal Ballet, Covent Garden. Dame Ninette de Valois provides the choreography for this story about a toymaker who creates a beautiful mechanical doll. Score performed by the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, under the direction of conductor Nicoae Moldoveanu. Originally broadcast live on the BBC in Feburary of 2000.
