"This box set offers three disparate but highly acclaimed operas. First on the bill is an Opéra Royal de Wallonie production of Giuseppe Verdi's +La Traviata, starring Saimir Pirgu and Giovanni Meoni, with accompaniment by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie; Paolo Arrivabeni conducts and Stefano Mazzonis di Pralafera directs for the stage. Next up is the Sferisterio Opera Festival's production of Georges Bizet's +Carmen, starring Irina Lungu, Philippe Do and Simone Alberghini, with musical accompaniment by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Sferisterio Opera Festival; Carlo Montanaro conducts and 4Dante Ferretti directs for the stage. Finally, the third opera on the bill is the Teatro Comunale di Bologna's production of Michael Daugherty's +Jackie O, co-starring Nora Sourouzian, Fiona McAndrew and Simone Alberghini, with symphonic accompaniment by the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna; Christopher Franklin conducts and Damiano Michieletto directs for the stage."
