Efunsetan, simply called Efun (She must defend her legacy with blood) (A novel partly based on a true story but mostly fiction) is a gritty, real-life adventure based on one of history's greatest survival stories in the Southwestern region of West Africa. Efun was beautiful, loved and wielded influence with the British and well ahead of her civilization but despised by the same entity she tried to help. In order to keep her legacy, she must fight blood with blood. This is a two-part series. Volume 1 revolved around her rise to success and her challenges in keeping up with the society in which tribal ethnic wars reign. This novel was inspired by the research conducted by Dr. Adebiaye and the need to correct the wrong myths surrounding this woman.
