Emir and the rose challenge
Rubit, an eleven-year-old girl, is hospitalized in an Acapulco hospital while awaiting surgery. When the arrival of a devastating hurricane threatens all tranquility, it is there that, like a wounded bird, Ursula, a teenager who has survived a landslide, arrives in her hospital room. Ursula, with a look full of mystery, tells Rubit that she lost her life during the hurricane, and this allows her to know the magical process that would determine her eternity. But she was allowed to choose to return to the living world, and driven to help someone, she decided to come back.

Rubit is dazzled by what Ursula describes, that wonderful place and the hierarchy of special beings that exist there, so much so that she doubts if it is all real. Two weeks later, she enters the operating room to undergo surgery, and it is her turn to confirm what Ursula told her step by step.

Now, she finds herself in that place, facing a test to become part of a team of twelve people. Rubit comes back knowing that she will return to the beyond in twenty years to fight in the most crucial challenge of all time, the Rose Challenge.

About the Author

Rubit Gómez (Mexico, 1987) is a civil engineer who graduated from TECNM in Costa Chica. She worked for six years in private companies, practicing her profession. In 2017, she and her husband Arnulfo founded a construction company where they still work today. In 2020, her son Emir was diagnosed with L2 acute lymphoblastic leukemia. There, she received a call from a supreme being who enlightened her life, inspiring her to want to help more people through words. She currently resides in Mexico City and Guerrero and hopes with faith that her work will reach many people as a gift from God and, in the future, fulfill her dream of creating a foundation to help children with cancer.
