Enchantment (Spellbound, #3)

I was so excited to read "Enchantment" the third book in this series because I loved the first two books! I have to say I am very disappointed now that I have read it or what I could read anyway. It started out with a few words being removed, then sentences, paragraphs and finally whole pages of the book were taken out! It looked like someone took white out to it except its on a device! Did a little kid edit it or something??! If there would not have been anything missing I would have given " Enchantment" five stars. The missing parts really take away from the story and characters. Right when it gets to a climactic part everything is cut out! This is just plain sad!! People pay for whole books to read not bits and pieces or excerpts from every chapter!

Anyone else having trouble with this one? It seems there are a lot of lines blacked out on my nook. I'm missing entire conversations.

I LOVED EACH BOOK IN THIS SERIES! I was sad to see it end but I enjoyed reading all three of them and had a hard time putting them down. I have already suggested this author to all of my friends. I can not wait to read more of her books.

As much as I like the book and series overall the formating issues in the nook copy of the book are really irritating. Literally PAGES of the book are unreadable. It would be great if this were fixed.

Nikki Jefford wrote thiss book real good. I loved this series they were the best book ever. There's nothing more special than falling in love. I still haven't gotten a chance to read it and i need to find out who does Gray stay with Raj or Adrian. My god this book as the others are intoxocating and hypnotic just remember this is the best book ever!!!!!!!! Also please buy it. Thank you for reading this and please buy it lile literally buy it. When assessing Enchantment, the third and concluding entry into Nikki Jefford’s “Spellbound Trilogy,” I was tempted to kick things off with a trite phrase (or three, LOL)—something along the lines of: the third time’s a charm for Jefford … but that would have been appropriate only if Jefford’s first two efforts had somehow failed to turn the trick. Well, anyone who has read my reviews of Entangled and Duplicity—or, better yet, read the books themselves—knows that Jefford turns tricks like an old pro! I suppose that leaves me without a cute opening line … so I’ll settle for saying that Enchantment is a bewitching, spellbinding, charming, and—hell, I’ll say it—enchanting story. Sure, it’s crammed full of Jefford’s trademark romance, mystery, and humor, but it’s the story’s underlying themes of hope and redemption that set it above its predecessors. It brings the trilogy to a close in a thrilling and oh-so-satisfying way, while reminding readers that anyone can change and anything is possible, if you fall in love. It’s kinda like watching Witch Hazel transform into Glinda the Good. Well done, Ms. Jefford! 

I was recently at an author event where Margaret Stohl stated someone once told her, your third book is always the best. Now, I won't go as far as saying that this rings true in every series I have ever read. I will say it is the truth with the Nikki Jefford's Spellbound series. Enchantment absolutely is the best of the three and ends the series in a content and tidy manner. What made Enchantment so much better than Entanglement or Duplicity? In a word, Adrian. Adrian Montez is mysterious, magnetic, unpredictable and has the touch of a damaged soul that I am such a sucker for. Pair him off with hot-headed, lonely and maybe a little depressed Graylee Perez and watch the fireworks start. Gray has run off to Barcelona, trying to escape the feeling that she's lost the only family and boyfriend she's ever known. She's lost, alone and heart broken. And, feeling a little guilty that her psuedo-sister gave up all her magical powers to save Gray's life. What should be a restful summer of self reflection turns into a battle of wills; with herself, with Adrian and with a few warlocks from back home determined to take Adrian down. Getting knocked in the head with a spell causing her to love the one person she's determined to hate is just (to borrow some words form the great Karina Halle) "piss icing on a cake made of crap". Here is where the story gets really good! Gray and Adrian both know she's under a spell but knowing doesn't dispose of it. The struggle between what is real and what isn't was as endearing as it was maddening. Adrian shows an entire new side of himself, he goes from vengeful warlock to one amazing guy who just wants to show a girl he likes a great time in Paris before the spell is broken and he loses her forever. Umm...toothache, right here ~ so sweet! Obviously, it isn't all cupcake farting unicorns...there is plenty of magical intrigue, action, betrayal, heartbreak and the like. But, at the end it wraps up so nicely. No loose ends, no hardcore feels to throw my Kindle at a wall, just a peaceful happy smile spread across my face. And for that, we thank you Nikki.

What a great end to this series, although I didn't want it to end. It was fascinating to see who Gray ended up with. I wasn't totally convinced at the hints in book 2, but there can be no doubt that these two belong together. Well done, Nikki!

I have loved both of the first two books in this series, Entangled and Duplicity, and this one is just as fabulous as the first two.  It is the perfect ending to a wonderful trilogy. Graylee is just 17 and has been through more in her life than the average girl her age, but it never seems to really end for her.  Even when she tries to escape it all for a little while, it follows her.  And suddenly her world is turned upside down yet again, in ways she couldn't have possibly imagined. In the first couple of books, the story was more focused on the "Lee" part of Graylee, while this time we got more of "Gray".  It sounds confusing, especially when you throw in the evil twin of Charlene, but instead it is fast-paced and filled with surprises and twists and turns.  Some of the best little twists and surprises are so good that I don't even want to mention them for fear of spoiling the wonderfulness that is this series! Things to love about Enchantment...    -Gray/Lee.  Both Gray and Lee are sympathetic characters and I found myself rooting for both of them as they struggle to find their own ways in the world.    -Adrian.  He is the character that you love to hate, but somehow, in this book, there was a part of me that felt for him, too.    -Charlene.  For reasons I cannot tell without ruining the story line... just wow.    -The happy ever after... My recommendation:  Fantabulous!  Pick up the first two and read, read, READ!

SHORT VERSION Enchantment, a paranormal romance that ends on a bang, is a win on so many levels. It’s the third novel in the Spellbound Trilogy by Nikki Jefford, and I loved how she wrapped everything up so nicely while simultaneously introducing us to entirely new cities, magic, and people. I didn’t want the series to end, but I’m happy with it nonetheless. THE DETAILS The Spellbound Trilogy covers a lot of ground—in Entangled (#1), we meet Gray and Charlene: twin American witches who end up sharing a body and trying to kill each other for it. In Duplicity (#2), Gray is duplicated, and the two Grays vie to survive a world in which only one is supposed to exist… all the while becoming less and less the same person. In Enchantment, the duplicate Gray—the one who ultimately wasn’t supposed to come back—travels to Spain to escape her past and try to figure everything out. In the course of trying to figure out a new sense of normal, she stumbles across Adrian Montez: a warlock who’s known as the Avenger. The worst of it? He has his eyes set on her. Though he’s dangerous and the last person in the world Gray wants in her life, someone casts a love spell on her and she suddenly can’t get him out of her mind. She has to figure out how to break the spell or risk loving someone who destroys lives for a living… and losing her free will in the process. The pacing was great—I was never bored or skimming. This novel jumps around Europe a bit, and I loved exploring Barcelona and Paris through Gray. To see the cities through Jefford’s eyes was exquisite; I walked away from the novel with a new appreciation for both cities.  What I liked best, though, was learning about Adrian the Avenger. In the previous novels, he’s a side character who causes trouble pretty much everywhere and can’t be trusted. But in Enchantment, we learn what made him that way. The love spell affects him by letting him live a life that’s not miserable, for once, and to see his change affected me most of all the characters’.  Gray was fun, as she has been for the last two books, and I cheered her on through the novel. She’s smart, powerful, and a bit dastardly herself. I like that she’s no angel. The only thing that caught me off guard was the moment the love spell took hold on Gray. I didn’t understand what had happened until the next chapter (when it became abundantly clear, thanks to Adrian’s POV). Because the perspectives never dip into the mindset of the person who did the spell—and because that would give us too much dramatic irony—I’m not really sure of how else Jefford could have communicated the spell.  Aside from that, I breezed through the novel. I wish this series hadn’t ended, but I like the way everything was wrapped up. The final lines left me smiling like a nerd—the ending is so freaking adorable.
