ESCAPE FROM THE CRYSTAL CAVERNS and THE GIANT DAGGER DRAGONFLIES
Many apparitions, appearances of poltergeists are haunting a Redwood Forest along the Pacific Coast. It happened two hundred years ago explains Grandfather Patrick Moore, the only man who believes the event may be connected with mythical creatures living underground in the forest. For his grandson, Skyler Moore, that idea is hard to swallow.
Oh sure, when Skyler was younger he would sit in the forest for hours with his Grandfather hoping to see these creatures. Some may call them gnomes. Some might think they're gremlins, goblins, or trolls. Some may swear they're leprechauns. Regardless of what they are, Skyler is much older now, fifteen and not so naive. He's not going to be ridiculed at school on account of the stories his Grandfather spreads around town any more.
Patrick is determined to get to the forest to find out what has happened and help these creatures. Being old and stuck in a wheelchair won't stop him either. He goes off into the forest alone, but that proves to be fatal.
Skyler holds his Grandfather fondly as he takes his last breath and places into Skyler's hand a beautiful key adorned with fine rubies and made from pure gold. It belongs to one of these creatures and is very important.
Patrick begs Skyler to find them and solve the mystery of the key, and help them but he just can't get himself to believe in such foolish notions any more - that is until the right girl with enough spunk comes along, Shannon Beckman, sassy and self-driven. She helps him sort through all of his doubt and compels him to search for answers.
Skyler and Shannon take off into the forest on a magical adventure and venture through an enchanting, underground world, journeying through mysterious valleys, over treacherous cliffs, through crystal caverns, rivers and lakes.
They encounter hordes of Giant Water Spiders, Dagger Dragon Flies and more all in hopes of finding these, mystical, charming creatures who have remained hidden, undiscovered for over two hundred years.
