I have to admit my coffee got cold, laundry is not getting done, dishes dirty, and my kids will probably eat cereal for dinner. I am half way through this book and i cannot put it down. I have over 100 romance books on my Nook and this one of the best. The author grabs your attention on the first page and never lets go. I only paused reading so i could express how wonderful this book is.

I never write a review, but I was impressed with this new author. the story is a complete one with no sequel. the characters were so likable, so well developed, so human...I was impressed. You could see the evolution at all levels: emotional, relational and physical. the sex scenes were so well written,l so sexy with out all the unnecessary roughness we encounter nowadays...I lost myself in it. Very good book worth every penny.

One of my new favorite books! Hard to carry almost 1000 pages with basically two characters, but this author did it! Loved Ander and Lori, and their story! This is one if the book I will enjoy rereading!! Will be reading her other books soon!

Loved this!!! The first 3/4 of the book were incredible, I couldn't put the book down. Then, something changed, as if some other writer took over. The story became redundant, the dialogue was immature, and it was as if the writer were purposefully dragging out the ending. WHY! I loved this book, I wanted the inevitable HEA! The story had a HEA, by the way, but why the needless filler? There are over 900 pages, surely thats not too short. I recommend reading BREAKING, a a kind of follow up to ESCORTED, it helps give this more closure. And I really do recommend this book even with the flaws, it's that good. S.A.K.

My Thoughts: There was just SOMETHING about this book that drew me to it. And oh my goodness am I glad for it because I adored this book top to bottom, left to right, up and down. It's difficult to put into words exactly how I felt, but here goes nothing. Lori is a smart girl, and a writer, so I connected with her. And Ander? He wasn't the kind of guy authors always write about--he was definitely different. Put the two of them in the same room and hello! They fit together perfectly, they do. There were moments where the emotion was a roller coaster, and then there were those moments, those flawless moments, where you just adored them. My favorite part of all? Their first kiss. Their first REAL kiss. It was epic beyond proportions and far exceeds any other first kiss. "Just try it, Lori," Ander said, his voice a little thick. She could feel his breath on her skin. "Kiss me." *fans self* Oh, Ander. Escorted is now one of my absolute favorite books. Ever. Claire Kent sucked me into this world, into the slow build of Ander and Lori's romance, and I loved it. Loved every minute of it. As of the writing of this review, I'm currently reading Breaking (a novella that takes place after Escorted), and thoroughly enjoying it. I will be reading more and more of Claire Kent's books, I can definitely tell you that! My Rating: Exceptional

This was so uniquely written, i enjoyed the subject matter, perspective, and everything else. For me this is a book that has stuck with me weeks after i read it. I read an average a book per day and through a year maybe ten books stick with me so much after reading them i can vividly remember them. Wonderful experience!

Review: House/Well I was pressured by a fellow bartender to read this book, solely due to the fact that the male character and my husband have a very similar first name.  So after the first chapter I was ready to put it down.  The very detailed and juvenile approach to sex was slow and wasn’t holding my interest.  However, since I was traveling at the time I thought I would stick with it.  I am so glad I did.  If you’re a “Fifty Shades” fan or a fan of similar genre, than you may like “Escorted”. (Ander describing why he doesn’t do S&M for clients) There’s a small percentage of the population that’s into that lifestyle, but there’s a whole industry built around it. And, in general, those who participate in that lifestyle want to engage in the culture as a whole rather than using the occasional services of someone like me.” “Huh.” Lori thought about it for a minute. “If recent erotic romances are to be believed, most women are really into stuff like that.” Ander chuckled and shook his head. “But that’s the stuff of fantasies. Most women who get turned on reading about it wouldn’t actually want to live it out. It might turn them on in fantasies, but it wouldn’t in real life. Tell me the truth. What would you do if I tied you up, muzzled you, and started to whip you?” Lori thought about all the hot sex scenes she’d read featuring such activities. Then she honestly examined her own nature. She snickered. “I’d have you arrested for assault.” Kent, Claire (2012-12-15). Escorted (p. 129).  . Kindle Edition. The same concept, introduction into sex before a relationship, unfolds for the main characters.  Even though the first couple chapters are just blatant sexual encounters, you start to chisel away at the character development.  The characters, Lori & Ander, are actually really sweet and realistic.  I kept feeling that the author might turn the book into “we never talk about our feelings thus we can’t continue our ‘meant to be’ relationship”, but happily she did not.  Half way through I really wanted to know where the couple would end up, even though I know they must have a happy ending in store.  The author also wrapped the book up nicely and doesn’t leave you with a sequel.    I ended up enjoying this book so much, I know I will come back to it and read it again.

Loved the storyline and build-up. Very romantic. Story was very focused on the emerging relationship and the two characters and their feelings. Nice steamy love scenes. I've been waiting for this book to come out on nook for awhile and it does'nt disappoint!

I enjoyed this book. It had the right amount of everything I like in a book. Very sexy and gave quite a bit of sex education. I was glad it didn't just end with the couple jlgetting together and all is right, their issues were well inserted! More realistic of what this type relationship would encounter and overcome.

This is an unusual story about a woman who was 26 and still a virgin, as she says in the book, burdened with her virginity. An inconvenience for a highly rated romance writer. She's been writing romance with sex scenes and has no experience. She decides it's time to do something about it and hires a male escort to rid her of the inconvenience. The escort, Ander, is very considerate of her feelings and attentive to detail in making it an enjoyable experience. He asks if she's interested in booking him again but she tells him no. LOL A week later she emails him to find out when he is again available. Although she doesn't think she will want more sessions it turns out that she does. As their "professional" relationship develops the author shows the human side to both of these people in an interesting manner. Although it moves slower than I would've liked, it was probably closer in time to a realistic timeframe. I thought the story was very enjoyable, the sex scenes detailed, and the ending quite good. A different kind of story.

All right for the most part, but Lori often behaved in very immature ways. I also found it hard to believe that she was a best selling romance author at 24/26 (I don't recall). Knowing how many manuscripts publishers receive weekly and how most are not accepted makes it less believable. Thus the rise in epub. Ander's character was done well as far as we are shown. There is the polished professional who keeps himself aloof from his clients and the way he reveals himself to Lori. I do find it frustrating that virginity is too often portrayed as a burden, an "inconvenient little detail" to get rid of. There is no shame, despite what some would say, to being a virgin and choosing to wait. Lori is so young and yet she's given up on finding that certain one. Granted, she finds Ander, but in a rather backwards way. Another peeve is the overuse of f*ck from an author who seems more erudite. Perhaps she consults with a thesaurus. Perhaps she could to avoid the f*cks.

I really loved this book. Anders was a dream. I've never read this author before and wasn't sure what to expect. Very sexy, but well written with a building pace. The characters are well developed and likable. The story captured my attention completely. I was lost in this romantic story and finished it without putting it down. I loved it so much I recently picked up the audio book! 5 stars

I've read this book and it's companion too many times to count. I can't get enough. The characters are great and you really connect with them as a reader. It doesn't feel stale if that makes any sense. Definitely a book to buy.

I knew that this novel would be very steamy, but it unexpectedly slowly built up to be a very tender & sweet love story. Lori is sensitive & full of empathy, but can also be a firecracker when needed. Ander is oh so sexy, but gives off an aura of coldness & unemotion. I was tied up in knots as their story became more complicated & intense. I loved it, but also had attacks of anxiety!

Terrific book. Lots of emotion to work through w these two characters and by the end they have worked everything out to realize their "pay as you go" relationship has turned into a very loving relationship. Enjoyed the dynamic of these characters very much and look forward to more by this author
