About the Author

One of the great art historians of the twentieth century, Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy(1877-1947) was born in Ceylon, received a classical education in England, and worked for many years as curator of Asiatic Art at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Rama P. Coomaraswamy held degrees from both Oxford and Harvard. He was Chief of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Stamford Hospital. For five years he was Professor of Ecclesiastical History at the St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary. He died in 2007
