Evolution of Darkness
In a world of technological revelations and human genius, organized religions continue to hold on to the element of faith. There are many religious questions that are satisfactorily answered in science, yet conveniently ignored by the faithful. Amidst the numerous scientific breakthroughs of the 21st Century, some still see science as the opposite of religion, even when the evidence is convincing that the two are complementary. Evolution of Darkness invites its readers to step out of the box to consider a few ideas on the dogmas that dominate religious thoughts and influences. On Christmas Eve 2012, I was invited to a candle lighting ceremony when it struck me that the Darkness we were driving out sat at the center of the flames we were holding in our hands. In other words, the Darkness in the center of the candle was responsible for the flame that provided the light in the room. This discovery enhanced my perception that the Darkness we see is the color of the energy that permeates the cosmos. Evolution of Darkness contends that this energy is intelligent and is the only authority capable of creating and sustaining this universe we live in. Every aspect of life, whether animate or inanimate, represents an expression of the Evolution of Darkness. The only legitimate expression of the God of creation is Darkness/Energy. Everything from electromagnetism to righteousness and faith are attributes of Dark Energy. From a realistic perspective, the Creator of this violent system is not a morally good God, but a God who has created a system that satisfies His needs. Everything we see around us is necessary and creates the perfect balance for the constant operation of the universe.

Chapter One

Expressions of Darkness

In spite of the many years of the disagreement between evolutionists and theologians, there is one significant common understanding; the Beginning was Darkness! This is the fundamental premise of all truth, because Darkness is the first known manifestation of energy. What happened after that explosion of life has been the subject of years of speculations and separations between scientists and theologians. In this chapter, I will make manifest the truth that existed, borrowing from theology and science, thereby creating a merger of the two. We have heard what men say in defense of their idiosyncratic perceptions, but here you will be given the opportunity to make your own decisions.

The fact that Darkness is the only original substance in the entire universe—both physical and spiritual—may be disputed by men of sound intellectual persuasions, even when there is no evidence to the contrary. Darkness is generally referred to as nothing, even by men with great intellectual accomplishments. Science speaks of a fortuitous concourse of evolutionary events—yet they seem to agree that it all started with a Big Bang. Theologians, on the other hand, say that Darkness is the absent of Light, and go as far as calling Darkness the representation of the Devil. It is not logical to draw a conclusion in favor of the arguments presented by theologians or scientists. The highest probable cause of a Big Bang, considering the constitution of intelligent life, and the universal characteristics of all forms of life, makes it absurd to consider the Big Bang the act of a fortuitous concourse of events. It is also illogical to consider that Darkness, which is the birthplace of all forms of life, is the representation of a lesser force—the fabricated satanic enemy of the favored deities of organized religions.

My lay opinion on this matter is that Darkness, "Dark Energy" or "vacuum energy" is as mysterious as the origin of the universe. Therefore, it is the only intelligent force or authority responsible for, and capable of creating this seeming chaotic universe, where even the chaos is essential to the creation as the beauty of the life that comes out of it. The only credible thing, force, intelligence, or God with the ability to cause a Big Bang, develop light, and effectively manage the evolution of the universe is the Darkness. Darkness is uncontrollable and permeates all space; it is natural and absolutely invisible, yet its dark presence is felt in all the earth and the universe at large. There is enough evidence against both thoughts of science and theology to conclude that they are special interests institutions. They will do everything in their power to defend their grounds—even when there is evidence to the contrary.

Definitions of Darkness

Light is defined and called anything from "a stimulating agent" to the act of understanding. Darkness, on the other hand, has yet to be adequately defined. It is known as everything negative and, moronically, the absence of light. Every common human expression with regard to Darkness is corrupted by the accepted definitions. It is a shame that the manifestations of Darkness as the mysterious intelligence behind this developing universe are being ignored. Theological and philosophical perceptions do not affect its existence. It is customary among men to speculate and—even in full view of credible evidence—and I don't expect that to change now.

It is a fact that though men may have manipulated the Light that is revealed, they are yet to affect the domain of Darkness where the light came from, or recreate it. Hence, they are perplexed by it and still refer to it as the domain of the dark or corrupt elements. The primitive and modern thinkers relate Darkness to everything dark and evil. You know of a few: black cats, every thirteenth Friday is called black, and atrocious times of civil unrest are called Dark Ages. Some men feel offended if they are called "Negros." When my uncle ran for public office in St. Lucia in the eighties, he declared on a public platform that his only fault was being black. I later learned that he meant that being black seemed to be his only fault to the opposition, because they often commented on the color of his skin.

Dark and its naturally expressed color are dogmatically derogatory terms. If someone says, "You are a very dark person," you feel insulted because your first thought would be that the person thinks you are evil. On the other hand, if one says, "You are white or full of light," you feel intelligent, bright, or understanding. By the end of this chapter, your opinion will be affected—that is, if you choose to be objective and realistic.

Intellectual definitions relate Darkness to everything corrupt and evil. They use quotations, such as John 1:5, to justify their claims. "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." John was not making reference to good and evil or righteousness and unrighteousness, but knowledge. John meant that nothing is hidden from the Creator. He is not ignorant; He knows everything.

Economy and religion influence the biases that affect the credibility and dictates of language. In the Bible, Darkness is interpreted with negative connotations, but it generally sticks to the principle of ignorance. However, to the conventional interpreter, Darkness seems to be the offensive state of ignorance, or the ignorance that impedes. It is for this reason that it is so easily represented as the enemy of light, but this definition does not affect the principle of its nature.

Darkness and Science

In science, Dark matter is considered to be physical effects of the Big Bang, the means by which our physical universe exists. This is true and accurate. There is no doubt that there was a Big Bang, and admitting that there was, does not affect my position on creation, yet it does not tolerate extreme dogmatism. At this point I am not sure whether scientists have already determined the qualities of Dark Energy, but I am proposing that Dark Energy in, and of itself, possesses all the necessary prerequisites to cause a Big Bang and manage the evolution of the universe. I dare to go farther to submit that it also possesses the intelligence to design—and execute—the creation of the universe we live in. Darkness or Dark Energy does not only possess every aspect of matter, but it also controls the domain of all space. Every organic and inorganic element of the universe is comprised of the properties of Dark Energy. Dark Energy, which is manifested Darkness, is the answer to all our doubts concerning the existence of a Creator and the possibility of a Big Bang. Science and theology have something in common: in the beginning was Darkness. Therefore, it is my intention to invite scientists—especially astrophysicists—to look more carefully into this matter.

Darkness and the Bible

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters" (Gen. 1:1, 2). This is a mere theological expression of a scientific event. And if there is to be a voice, then it is the chaotic expressions of energy that creates. I wish that theologians would open their eyes to see that this has nothing to do with instantaneity, but with a perfect mature scientific expression of Darkness. This passage of scripture says nothing about God speaking light into existence. However, a logical scientific explanation would be: in the beginning, there was Darkness, and the Darkness largely constituted of water, which condensed, crystallized, exploded, and caused the possible extension of life. I arrived at that conclusion because the light referred to in Genesis 1 has nothing to do with visible light—it was energy. According to the creation account of Genesis, visible light was not created until the fourth day, which makes it safe for me to conclude that even before the fourth day of the Genesis account, light dwelt in the Darkness, which was manifested as Dark Waters. The Genesis account does not suggest that energy was created at that time, but that Darkness had caused itself to create a system that gave birth to Dark Matter, which would subsequently evolve into the wonder that is the beautiful universe we have today.

It is significant to note that the elements of water and darkness were not created—and the energy in water is that mysterious, yet inseparable presence of Dark Energy, which justifies the explosion that set life on its evolutionary course. Life, in this case, is to be. And living is a state of being over a period of time. Since that major explosion, life has been manifested in many forms—creatures are one expression. Everything that is—has life. Life is dynamic; therefore, death is not real. It is only an expression of the dynamic nature of life.

Water, which is the most ancient expression of life, is manifested in different forms, including darkness and dark clouds. Dark waters constitute over 70 percent of the human body. It is the energy that constitutes our atmosphere. Water covers over two-thirds of our globe. It is good that both science and theology have accepted that water is life. The natural constitution of the human anatomy, with its high composition of water, does not rule out the consideration that the dividing of the waters was not limited to the atmosphere and the sea, but the evolutionary period that created a conducive environment for the promulgation of life in the universe. Every living organism—organic or inorganic, animate or inanimate—is an expression of Darkness and, to a great extent, water.

Natural light is an expression of Darkness, in every form—whether waves, gamma, or x-rays. Light is illuminated or ignited Darkness. Therefore, there cannot be any battle between the two. There is no saying that darkness is greater than light or darkness disappears in the presence of light, but that light is in fact darkness, or it illuminates in the Darkness. When you turn on the light in a dark room, the darkness does not disappear, it causes the light to shine, because literally, light only shines in the dark. The light that we see is a very small percentage of the light that exists. It is safe to say that just as light is fully Darkness, Darkness too is fully light.

Genesis chapter 2 makes no sense from a scientific or theological perspective. However, the scientific principle of organic light is clearly manifested in chapter 1. It is impossible to separate light from Darkness because there can be no light without Darkness—light refers to the visible expression of Darkness. With regard to light forms, Darkness has many manifestations. It is expressed in every form of light that exists. Thinking of the contrast between light and Darkness, I feel at liberty to say that Darkness is the light that is not seen—and dark is the color of its nature to the human eyes. One can argue this subject for as long as he chooses, but at the end, his only conclusion will be that Light and Darkness are the same—whether light is the expression of Darkness or Darkness is the invisible expression of light.

In conclusion, if put in reverse, the universe returns to a state of darkness where it came from, and there goes again the mystery. No one will know what happened in the dark—except that, out of the Darkness, came this calculated mathematical equation, intelligently expressed by multiple organic scientific expressions. This is what affords us a place we call home.

Chapter Two

Evolution of Creation

Christians attempt to limit spiritual and prophetic gifts to church members, yet major scientific discoveries benefit the development of Christianity far more than mere theological dogmas. Therefore, scientific pioneers have equal rights to be deemed prophets of God endowed with spiritual gifts. Scientists and theologians are equally manipulated by the Creator for His benefit; they are His prophets. They do not have absolute control over the choices they make because they do not set a day to die, or plan their journeys after death. The significance of all work is for the benefit of the earth because great men are known by their works—and their works evolve long after their deaths.

The enmity between science and religion is fueled by an evolution versus creation feud. Philosophy—in the form of Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates—may have caused some tension in the development of culture. However, nothing has impacted the intellectual world more than the scientific expressions in The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. It is a shame that men are called to accept the inaccurate theological anecdotes of scientific events over actual scientific data.

It is also shameful that theologians and scientists are still fighting and arguing over whether the universe was created or evolved, whether God intended to have suffering and sickness, or whether God exists at all. It is obvious that every creation evolves and evolution does not affect the fact of creation. It is rumored that the Catholic Church, under Popes Pius XII and John Paul 2, did not totally reject the theory of evolution, but questioned the element of the soul.

Corporate Protestantism on the other hand continues to reject the theory, but is leaning toward intelligent design. Science does not deny design; what they deny is that the all knowing, yet unable God of religion could not have created this seemingly unscrupulous complex, and naturally violent system.

Darkness and Life

Every argument that I have heard against the evolution of species is preposterous. We have established that the first major manifestation of Darkness/Dark Energy caused the possibility of life in the universe. The evidence for the evolution of creation is rather interesting. Every chemical reaction, in spite of the chaos in the midst, is a natural symbolism of order. The creation of the pearl is a great example; it is the product of the oyster's discomfort, yet it is so beautiful. There is purpose in every seeming act of disorder. Considering the geometric accuracy and mathematical genius involved in the creation of the universe, only an unreasonable mind will associate fortuitous concourse to it. Scientists' inability to fathom the details of the universe does not affect its purpose, because the Energy that formed man and dispenses knowledge to man incrementally has proof of purpose.

I do not understand why Christians reject the theory of evolution. Their basis is not intellectually, morally, or scientifically sound. The theory is not rejected because it fosters a relationship between mankind and the other mammals, because from a scientific perspective, man is in every way an animal. Deprive man of his preordained, yet naturally acquired advantage in the earth, and he is nothing but an animal. Every behavior of man suggests that he is nothing but a high-level animal. Even in the twenty-first century, where he feels insulted when compared to apes, certain sects of his species still fall on all fours and engage in bestial sexual activities with creatures that look nothing like apes: dogs!

The realistic question is not—and never was—whether God spoke the earth into existence, but whether He is the expression of the Darkness responsible for its creation. Genesis is not intended to invite anyone to believe in an instantaneous act of creation over a week's period, especially when the first two chapters are considered contextually—but that the earth was created either by or out of the Darkness mentioned in Genesis 1. Whether man evolved from the lower species of mammals or not is irrelevant because it does not affect the fact of creation.

Evolution does not in any way affect creation, but it does enhance it. The basic definitions of "creation" and "evolution" fail to serve as any reasonable ground for theological and scientific disputes. To create something is to cause it to exist or live as the case is required whether mental or physical. An act of evolution is simply the physical development of a created or mental idea. In light of the definitions provided here, every act of any creation is perfected only by means of evolution—and the universe is no exception. The earth was not only created potent, but it was given the ability to evolve naturally.
