"A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review” This was a really good book. It was a sweet romance with a little spice added in for flavoring. I liked it because Alex is a caring intelligent person with a small town background. Caleb is a hotshot air force pilot who has come home from overseas to find out he’s been dumped by Alex’s sister. He has a strong personality but just needs to find out what happened when he left. Yes, we all know what happened but it’s a really good book. It’s very exciting and not the usual syrupy romance. I would recommend it to anyone who wants more than the plain no sex book but less then the sex every two minutes. You will enjoy reading this book.

Caleb Kelly returns from Afghanistan expecting a reunion with his girlfriend, but what he gets is a Dear John letter left for him in his empty house. After months of supportive emails throughout his tour, her abandoning their relationship just doesn’t make sense, so he does what anyone would do. He goes after her to demand answers, convince her to come home, and pick back up the life he left off when he was deployed. Alex Leadbetter can’t imagine why her sister would walk away from a man like Caleb. Then again, Kourtney’s always been selfish, so the chances of her ever living the life of an Air Force wife were pretty slim to begin with. Alex knows Caleb deserves better, deserves someone to support him, so she hacked into Kourtney’s email and gave Caleb the encouragement her sister didn’t. Only now Caleb’s back, still in love with Kourtney and trying like hell to prevent her from marrying someone else. Alex can’t tell him the truth, but maybe if she serves as his wingman, pretends to be with him to spark Kourtney’s jealousy, the time it takes them to pull off their plan will be just enough time for Caleb to take off his blinders and see that Alex is the one for him. The Verdict... You know those books, the ones that just make you all stupid happy while you’re reading them? The ones that don’t pile on the needless angst too high but have just the right amount of drama to keep things interesting? The ones with characters you’d think would be walking cliches but instead have just enough realism to break the tired mold? Yep, that’s this book. Different from the other books so far in the series, Falling for the Wingman doesn’t rely so heavily on a constant rotation of sex scenes, and the characters are more fully developed. Alex is the kind of female character so many authors try to create but few actually succeed at. She’s fun and adventurous and strong and unwilling to compromise herself for social standing or appearance. But she’s doesn’t have those sharp edges that take away the sweet or romantic side. Sure, she’s a muscle car junkie and a skilled mechanic, but sh’e also just a small town girl with a big time crush. And Caleb… He’s so damned hot without being a total manwhore (though it’s clear he’s been one in the past), and while he has his moments of ultimate male stupidity, he doesn’t do that annoying total denial thing that you might expect. Sure, he thinks he’s in love with Alex’s sister, but he’s not blind to the feelings he’s developing for Alex, and when the heat turns up… oh my! The easy, laid back friendship Caleb and Alex strike up is both adorable and believable. It’s a bit of fluff without the saccharine, and it leads right into an incredible chemistry. In retrospect, I probably shouldn’t believe that two people can fall in love over the course of just a few days, but I guess that just speaks to how convincing the story is, since I didn’t question that once while I was reading. Falling for the Wingman is simple romance done right, taking what should have been an overused plot and turning it into something entirely new while retaining what we all love about stories that throw romance at two unsuspecting conspirators. If you like your romance reads flirty and fun, this one’s got your name all over it. ***FicCentral received this book from Tasty Book Tours for free in exchange for an honest review

Yay!! This is just the perfect introduction to Spring. It was fresh and bright and I smiled through the whole too short book. Even when I was cussing at Caleb for being a dumb ass, I was still grinning like a possum in a tree made of bacon. Caleb, or as I called him "Idiot", was like a lot of young flyboys, swayed by a pretty face and a monster rack. I will give him his props though, he really did think Kourtney had more substance than silicon. She did NOT. The diamond he had overlooked, was actually covered in motor oil, the gem of a sister, Alex. Alex, man if I swung that way, I would be all over this chick. She was restoring a 71 Road Runner, and this has been my DREAM CAR since I knew what a car should be. When I read that, I nearly had a conniption right on the spot. This is a car for people who KNOW cars. It's not as obvious as your Mustangs, or Vette's, so a big, big gigantic thumbs up to Crista for showing her smarts with this pick. If Alex had super powers of some sort, she would probably be my all time favorite heroine, but as I am at heart a pnr girl, you need to have some sort of supernatural thing going. Now, the story and H/h were awesome, the only thing that irked me about Falling For the Wingman, was that Alex's mother did not meet a suitably gruesome, bloody, painful, long drawn out torturous death. This woman, mmmm, she did set off my ire meter just a bit. It's no wonder the two daughters had self esteem issues, their mother was a troll queen. Wow, that bit of venting was cathartic. This series just gets better, and better. This strikes me as improbable because it was pretty dang close to perfect from the start, but Crista McHugh has definitely struck gold with the Kelly brothers. They are going to run out eventually so she might want to discover some Irish cousins. (I'm partial to a brogue) I am anxiously awaiting The Heart's Game, so let's get to writing Crista.Job very well done, brava.

I was lucky enough to listen to the audio version of Crista McHugh's FALLING FOR THE WINGMAN which is the third book in her Kelly Brothers series. This is the first book I've read in the series (and by this author) and I was still able to thoroughly enjoy the story without having read the first two books. The storyline was fantastic, I loved the characters, I loved the setting, I loved the witty dialogue and the Cyrano twist, and the narrator was the best I've heard in quite some time. I felt she really nailed the nuances, accents, and temperments of each character's personality, both male and female. The story begins with Caleb, an Air Force pilot who has just come back to the states after a tour in Afghanistan, coming home to a Dear John note from his girlfriend Kourtney. The woman he liked before he left, but fell in love with while he was overseas due to the bonding they experienced through the emails they shared. Not one to give up so easily he heads to Kourtney's hometown to get an answer face-to-face about why she left him. He's hoping the engagement ring he purchased will help to change her mind. Instead he finds the woman he thinks he loves a week away from marrying another man. He still wants answers but it's going to have to settle for getting them from her younger sister Alex. Alex is all too happy to spend time with Caleb because she's had a thing for the sexy pilot ever since they were first introduced. Sister or no, she's more than ready to take a chance he'll finally see her and choose her over her sister. I don't want to give spoilers, so all I'll say is this book was delightful, Caleb is one sexy hunk, Alex is a smart and sassy southern girl who isn't afraid to go after what she wants and has some really great friends who love and support her, the sexy times were hot and steamy, and Crista McHugh really knows how to tell a story! You don't want to miss this one! 5 stars

Author Crista McHugh has done a wonderful job with book number three in the Kelly Brothers Series. It just goes to show that romance comes in many different places, even in a dingy auto shop with a grease monkey average woman; that once she showers you realize her beauty is even better than her beautiful sister. The garage girl is beautiful inside out and stands heads above her sister that once stole pilot Kelly's heart.

I’ve not read any of the other Kelly Brothers books – I’ve seen them, thought about it, but didn’t get around to picking one up. I think I might have been missing out. I really like McHugh’s style – it’s smooth, easy-to-read, and engaging. The characters were very normal, like someone you would know in real life, and their issues were quite understandable. Caleb comes home from Afghanistan looking to propose to his love. What he finds is she is gone and only left a note behind for him and that she is getting married. She is all that kept him going in the war and he isn't ready to give up. Alex has always wanted Caleb even when he was with her sister. She knows he is to good for her sister but she will do whatever it takes to show him she cares even if it is to help him get her sister back. She convinces him if they act like a couple her sister will come back. What she doesn't tell him is that she is the one who wrote him the emails that helped him get through the war. It starts out fake but soon they see they could have so much more. Alex is a character I can really like. She is a girl who loves simple things and her small town. She also loves working on cars and isn't a girly girl type. I liked her right away. You see she is also someone with a big heart who cares for others. Caleb is great guy who just has trouble seeing what is right in front of him. He hates to use anyone and feels guilty when he starts to see Alex in a different light. He is very confused and has to work through it and he truly wants the best for Alex. I really liked this story as the characters are wonderful. I liked the story and how Caleb as to open his eyes to the woman he really needs to be with. Alex has a hard family to deal with. Her mom and sister treat her bad and blame her for everything it seems. Her sister I didn't care for at all. She is selfish and a jerk to put it nicely. I liked how Alex interacts with the people of the town. There is plenty of sexual heat in this book as well. They try to not go to far but it is to much for them to do. If you like a great story about characters try this one

Caleb Kelly has just returned from Afghanistan. He finds that his girlfriend left him. He won't accept it because he loves her. He needs to win Kourtney back. There is one problem. She's engaged and the wedding is next weekend. He won't give up. He convinces her younger sister, Alex, to be his wingman. His troubles are just beginning. He finds that he is attracted to his wingman and wants her in his bed. Crista McHugh writes a sexy, sassy story of love and desire. Readers will enjoy the romantic twist and turns that the story takes. The characters are well written and will grab you from page one. The supporting characters are an engaging group that will make you either smile or want to smack them . Alex is a feisty woman who can stand on her own two feet and look good doing it. I loved her. Caleb has his hands full with this seductress. Falling For The Wingman continues the story of the Kelly Brothers. It's fast-paced, humorous and very sexy. I loved it.

5 "loving this series" stars I cannot say enough good things about McHugh's Kelly Brothers series. Book 3 is about Caleb, a soldier back from deployment. He is shocked when he finds a letter from his girlfriend, the woman he was about to propose to, stating that she couldn't be a military girlfriend. Part of the reason he was caught off guard was due to the emails he received from her. He really felt those emails helped him get through the tougher times when he was overseas, and along the way it was the emails which made him fall in love with her. What he didn't know was that Kourtney never wrote the letters, her sister Alex did. Alex always had a thing for Caleb, but unfortunately, he noticed her sister Kourtney first. This was not the first time Alex felt overlooked due to her sister's enhanced beauty. But Alex really didn't want Caleb to undergo the heartache of Kourtney dumping him just a few weeks after he left, so Alex hacked her sister's account and regularly emailed Caleb and fell even more for him along the way. Alex decides to help Caleb get Kourtney by faking a relationship with each other. In reality, she is hoping that Caleb discovers that the girl he really fell in love with, the one he really should want, is actually Alex and not her sister. There is obvious chemistry between the two, and let me say, McHugh, does a great job writing that chemistry--HOT!! With time, everything works out and we get our HEA for Caleb and Alex. What I love about this series, aside from the Hotness of the Kelly Brothers, is how different each of the stories has been so far. These are not cookie cutter romance stories, and I think this really be brought to light with Dan's book which is coming next. I find it refreshing that when the couples hit the snag in the relationship, it is not overly drawn out. Add in the recurring references to the other brothers from the previous books, and it makes the stories even more complete. Each book can be read as a stand alone but it is in your best interest to experience all the Kelly brothers--thankfully there are still 4 more to go!!! Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Crista McHugh has quickly made my list of favorite authors. Her writing style is easy and straightforward, and the Kelly Brothers series is a lot of fun. The thing I like the most, and I mentioned this in another review of this same series, is the characters. All of her females are strong, capable leads. They are either successful in their lives or they have a firm sense of purpose of where they want to go. You will not find any of these girls sitting around waiting for some successful, rich, sexy man to make things happen for them. Enter successful, rich, sexy man...the men of this series are all successful, influential, and incredibly sexy. They are for the most part good guys, but they are human and they make mistakes. The third book in the Kelly Brothers series is about Caleb Kelly. Returning home after deployment he finds, to his surprise, his seemingly wonderful, caring girlfriend nowhere in sight. After tracking her down, he discovers she might not be everything he ever thought she was. Her little sister, Alex, however, is a different story. I liked Alex a lot. She is my kind of girl. In a world that revolved around looks and outward appearances, she realized that putting up the front of perfection was too hard and decided to just be herself. She didn't care what others thought of her and was happy with her imperfect life. There are four more Kelly brothers, and I'm looking forward to getting to know each of them.

I love this series. The books keep getting better, and I absolutely loved Alex-she is my favorite of the series leading ladies. Seriously, just give the series a try. They are cute and quick reads.
