About the Author

Carol McConkie lives in the wine country of Sebastopol, California in Sonoma County, 60 miles north of San Francisco. Born in Los Angeles, she has lived most of her adult life in the Bay Area where she attended the University of California at Berkeley. After raising four children and serving many years volunteering in the non-profit community, she opened a travel agency in Santa Rosa. During her nearly 20 years in the travel business she has had the opportunity to travel to almost all regions of the world, giving her a wealth of experience and the knowledge of many cultures from which to background her stories.
