The Filth Eater statue is unearthed, leading a corrupt museum director and powerful politician to battle for its possession. An archaeologist and his students become ensnared in a cunning web of duplicity and greed that leads to murder and torture as events spin out of control.

About the Author

Stan Struble is a graduate of the famed Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home, Boys Town, Nebraska and holds an M.S. in Anthropology from Kansas State University where he taught Social Anthropology and North American Indian courses for two years. He is presently an Adjunct Professor of Sociology & Anthropology at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.
Stan is an internationally published author. He published the mystery-suspense book, Sins of the Jaguar, in 2003 and Xibalba, in 2009. Both received praise from print media and notable individuals, including Lew Hunter, Chairman of the U.C.L.A. Screenwriting School.
Stan is a former President of the Nebraska Writers Guild, the state’s oldest and most prestigious writers group. When a member of MENSA, the International High IQ Society, he was elected and served two terms as president of the local Mensa group. Stan’s unusual background and work experiences include working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, and living and working in the Sierra Madres of Jalisco and the coastal lowlands of Sinaloa on the Gulf of Baja. He is married, has three children and lives in Omaha, Nebraska.
