About the Author

I was born in the coastal town of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where the waves speak of heritage and the air carries the warmth of community. Though my birthplace shaped my beginnings, my life has been rooted in Philadelphia — a city that welcomed me, molded me, and became the canvas for my calling.
For most of 47 years, I’ve lived in the City of Brotherly Love, and for many of those years, I’ve served it not just as a resident, but as a shepherd. I am a full-time pastor at Mount Olive Church, where my heart beats for outreach, service, helping, teaching, and sharing the gospel. Ministry isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. Whether I’m preaching from the pulpit, walking alongside someone in need, or teaching the Word, I strive to reflect the love and truth of Christ in every moment.
Philadelphia has taught me grit and grace. It’s a city of contrasts — historic and modern, broken and beautiful — much like the lives we’re called to touch. In every corner of this city, I see opportunity: to serve, to heal, to teach, and to love.
Though Arecibo is miles away, its spirit lives in me. I carry the rhythm of my heritage, the strength of my culture, and the joy of my people. I am a bridge between two homes — one that gave me life, and one that gave me purpose.
