About the Author

Dennis McCorkle, producer, composer, musician, and author has been motivating influence in the music and publishing industry for over thirty years. Born in Ocean City, NJ, Mr. McCorkle’s aptitude for music had been recognized early on and by his senior year in high school was teaching privately and Adult Continuing Education classes at Stockton State College.
It was during this time he auditioned for and was accepted as a guitarist in the United States Navy Band. Leaving the military he attended American University and studied with: Frank Mullen, John Marlow, “protégé of Segovia,” and Dennis Sandole, with whom the legendary John Coltrane, Art Farmer, James Moody, and Pat Martino also studied.
With the advent of casino gaming in Atlantic City, McCorkle opened the first full-service recording facility in the area. In 1986, he took a position with Music Minus One/Pocket Songs in NYC, and eventually became Executive Director. Leaving MMO in 1996, he accepted a position with the MTA in NYC as Assistant Director of Information Services. During this time the President of the United States ceremonial marching band premiered his composition,
“The Grand Central March” at Grand Central Terminal in NYC becoming the official march of this landmark.
McCorkle has written over two hundred compositions for guitar, voice, musical theater, orchestra, and has been published by Mel Bay, Hal Leonard, Music Sales, LTD., Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine, Kimbo Educational, Warner Bros. Music, and is also listed as one of the top five hundred New Age musicians by McMillian Press - "The New Age Music Guide.” In addition, he has written and published numerous books on the Bible including: The Chronological Gospels of Jesus, Understanding the Timeline of the Bible, The Instruments of the Bible, and The Davidic Cipher. This breakthrough work on the deciphering the Hebrew trope, seen on the History Channel’s “The Naked Archaeologist - in search of King David’s Harp,” opens up new understanding and appreciation of the Bible and its music. Mr. McCorkle presently resides in West Hartford, Connecticut.
