This is the second book I have read from Erin M. Evans and I simply loved this book so much. You will be surprisingly pleased by a book set in the Forgotten Realms Campaign to pull you in a fun paced political scheme filled with love, mystery and action!

Continuing from the previous novels adventures, the 4th installment in the series grabs you and doesn't let go. I couldn't put it down but dreaded it ending, waiting for the next installment will be torture.

I could tell you that you should read this book because of the rich and flawed cast of characters, but I won't. I could tell you that you should read this book because of the incredibly complex plot that keeps you guessing, but I won't. I could tell you that you should read this book because if you love either Forgotten Realms, the Brimstone Angels sub-series, or just good fantasy in general you don't want to miss this book, but I won't. I could tell you that you should read this book because of the incredible story telling of the author, but I won't. Instead, I will tell you that you should read this book simply because, in my opinion it is quite simply a damn good book; perhaps even one of the best published in 2014.

Demons, goblins and political intrigue I’ve not read any of the author’s previous work so some of this was a mystery to me as it assumes knowledge of the previous two books in the series. There is some explanation but it is still mystifying in places. Part of a Forgotten Realms series, this deals with the machinations of demons and others wrestling for power and a fantasy world. It is not all talking and manipulating and some adventure occurs. Having recently read a Salvatore book in the same way, this one is more interesting and less superficial. The characters have substance. The principal characters, Farideh, Havilar, Raedra and Brin, are well-developed and the features of this fantasy world are not overwhelming. Evidently there is more to come as all is far than resolved by the end of this long book. Recommended for lovers of the genre but I won’t be looking to read the previous nor the next tomes in the series.

Ever so glad we have the chance to go back and catch up on the tieflings’ part of the story.  Brin and Lorcan and Raedra and Irvel are all there too and their parts are wonderful.  There are lots of amazing things going on and hearts broken and devils fought.   A rip roaring story of wyverns and resurrections.  Received free copy for review.
