At first glance Fish Story may seem like a simple tale about two guppies, Five and his sister Eleven's struggle to survive in the violent "fish-eat-fish" world into which they were born. Eleven is content just to live out her days with the other fish, but Five suspects there is more to life and something bigger beyond their limited world and he is determined to find out what that is.

Joseph E. Scalia Author/Artist/Teacher/Elevator Operator (but not necessarily in that order) Brooklyn born and raised, Joseph E. Scalia taught junior and senior high school English and Creative Writing on Long Island for thirty-three years. He began writing in elementary school, terrible rhyming poems on the bathroom walls and eventually made the move to writing on paper. In his spare time he paints watercolors.
