Fleeting Hope
After her fiancé, Daniel Beachy, died in a buggy accident, schoolteacher Ruth Yoder decided to move out of her parents' home and into the house he'd built for their married life together. Ruth has lived alone for the past eleven years.

When David Hershberger, a widower, starts spending time with her, Ruth is surprised. David's children are amazed, too, that their father is interested in their longtime neighbor. Ruth hopes that she and David will become more than friends. But since David lost his wife, Irene, the love of his life and mother of their children, David can't imagine anyone taking her place in his heart. His children and Ruth's sister also aren't so sure that the relationship should develop.

Although Ruth prays that she might finally become a wife, she will follow whatever path God has chosen for her.

About the Author

I grew up on a farm outside Findlay, Ohio, and I often acted out characters from my own stories in the backyard. In high school I would read during classes and hide a novel in front of me in a propped up textbook. After my high school graduation, I attended Ohio State University. Then I became a schoolteacher and play director.

I met my husband while teaching at an orphanage, and we married three years later. It took me that long to convince him I was the one for him! While raising our family in southwestern Ohio, I started writing nonfiction and was published. Later, I decided it would be a nice escape to write fiction. We were blessed with five daughters and one son. Two daughters were born with Down syndrome and live with us. Our other children live close by in Ohio so that’s wonderful. We also have three precious grandchildren.

I’ve published through a variety of houses, including Samhain, Whimsical Publications, Desert Breeze Publishing, Publishing by Rebecca J. Vickery, Booklocker.com and Victory Tales Press. Around two years ago, I decided to self-publish my books, so I requested my rights back to my previously published stories. From the beginning, I’ve enjoyed self-publishing my Amish romances.
