Overview

When Sam Flint arrives in Silver City, intending to set up his weekly paper there, he finds a crowded town ruled by rapacious mine operators. He faces competition from a rival paper operated by a toadying but sinister editor. He sets up his press in the sporting district, the only place where he can find space, and is swiftly engaged in an all-out newspaper war to reform the rowdy mining town and its cruel bosses. This is a fierce and funny story about newspaper rivalry.
