Do you ever find yourself focusing on the negative in your life rather than all the positive? For some reason, for most people that’s what seems to come naturally and we end up wasting much of our time and energy on negative emotions. What if you could literally train your brain to consistently focus on the positive instead and, by doing so, bring an abundance of joy and gratitude into your life? This book is a guide to do just that! Once you invest the time chasing the yellow ball habits outlined in this book and realize you’re capable of consistently CHOOSING your emotions to the point where it becomes a habit, you no longer have room in your life for feelings of anger, disappointment, frustration, overwhelm. Forming these habits takes time and discipline but it is possible and when it starts to work and you have little lightbulb moments where you’re seeing your mindset shift you realize the time you invested forming the habits was a bargain. A bargain that can literally add life to your years. I love the concepts introduced in this book. I’m going to go back through and read it again to keep my mind focused on the ideas throughout that inspired me to be more present, more intentional about how I spend my time and my thoughts. Life is short and I don’t want to waste it focusing on negativity.
At the perfect time, this book has helped me add value to key areas of my life. Dr. Coyte Cooper does a great job using his story to share how easily our minds instinctively focus on negativity, then provides simple yet effective solutions to "Flip the Script", or change our perspective. I didn't even realize some of the natural thoughts I was allowing negatively effect my actions.
