About the Author

Rita Boeke is retired after twenty five years as a high school history and religion teacher specializing in scripture and morality. As a religion department chair and campus minister in Catholic high schools she has guided curriculum development and directed liturgy planning and teen retreats.
Robert Boeke worked as a college professor and high school teacher of physics, mathematics and religion for more than thirty five years. He has presented teen retreats. His column on religion from a lay person’s perspective appeared in the Catholic New World and parish bulletins.
Bob and Rita Boeke have presented hundreds of retreats, workshops and days of enrichment for married couples and priests since 1974. They have been featured speakers at regional and national conventions and have held leadership positions at the local, regional and national levels of Worldwide Marriage Encounter.
The Boekes present the Forever and a Day workshop for married couples, based on this book, and other marriage enrichment programs.
Bob & Rita’s church activities include chairing liturgy and family life committees. They have designed and led marriage preparation programs and frequently speak to RCIA, high school groups and others about marriage. They have worked with the Office of Marriage and Family Life of the Archdiocese of Chicago to plan and promote programs and days of enrichment for married couples.
Bob and Rita have been married for more than forty years. They have four children and six grandchildren. They make their home in suburban Chicago.
