About the Author

Everyone has at least one story to tell; Alfred Stites has a lifetime's worth. Candid, humorous, thought provoking and interesting, his writings delight both young and old. Writing is a passion for Alfred... he writes because he loves to tell a story.

If you're fortunate enough to sit in his presence whilst he weaves a tale or two, blue eyes a' twinkle, you'll not forget neither the story told nor the storyteller.
A kind and generous soul who has much to share about life, people and his astute observations of the world at large...Alfred maintains a sense of humor about it all. As such, his writings are not always politically correct; he refuses to take himself, or anyone else for that matter, too seriously.

Born in 1922, Alfred Stites has lived an amazing life visiting 22 countries, working in 3, and crossing paths with over 60 celebrities from film, theater, government, foreign royalty and more. Growing up in New Jersey through the economic crash of 1929, the Great Depression, and WWII, he found himself doing things he never dreamt of, yet at the same time, knowing all was as it was supposed to be.
