Fred the Frog

It's a sunny Monday morning. Fred -- a green, speckled, 7-year-old bullfrog -- woke up extra early. It's a special day today!

"First day of school!" he yelled, as he hurriedly hopped downstairs.

"Have some breakfast, Fred," Mrs. Green said, smiling at her son.

"Yum!" Fred exclaimed. "Worms!"

He finished his breakfast, kissed his Mom and Dad goodbye and quickly headed out the door.

"Hi, Fred!" Nia called out from the back of the classroom. "We saved a seat for you!"

Fred sat beside Nia. On his right were his other friends, Mikala, Byron and Hunter. The five of them have been friends since they were tadpoles. Their logs are right next to each other on the edge of Clear
