About the Author

Janet York is presently spending her time caring for and training her Cavaliers in obedience, agility, rally, conformation, and pet therapy, creating figurative sculptures of animals and people in different mediums and writing this book and other articles for various publications.

Her dog Fredrik is a top Cavalier in conformation in the American Kennel Club as well as a rally, per therapy and agility dog. Besides all these activities, Janet and Fredrik really enjoy down time together, whether on the road or at home.

Janet had made many careers. She began as a teacher in elementary school, and then pursued a degree and career in nursing followed by further education and a private practice in psychotherapy. It was at this time in 1986 that she was given her first Cavalier, Piccadilly. Her love for him was so strong she found herself expressing this love through sculpting. Here began yet another career.

Since this time her Cavalier family has grown as has her sculpting commissions and her books. This is her third children's book all portraying a Cavalier. The first "Corneel the Cavalier" , the second "Corneel at the Plaza" and now this present book "Fredrik goes to Hollywood".

Janet York resides in New York City and has three children and four grandchildren.
