Overview

There are some things you just have to deal with.

Like your hot as hell college booty call moving in next door with his adorable daughter.

The problem is the only time we’ve ever gotten along is under the sheets. Old habits die hard, because two minutes on my front porch is how long it takes us to bicker.

Not that a little fact like that bothers my healthy, eighty-year-old grandmother and roommate who’s determined to see me married before she bites the dust.

Unfortunately for me, she’s got her eye set on Mason Black.

She’s barking up the wrong tree. He’s not The One, no matter how much I swoon when I see him with his daughter. I have no intentions of rekindling anything with him—until a rubber spider in my mailbox starts off the mother of all neighborhood prank wars, just like the ones we had in college, and throws me right into his path.

One that leads right to his bedroom…

Wow !!! Frenemies is one of those books you know is going to special from the first page, I was captivated by this fun entertaining read and I’m sure you will be too. Imogen and Mason used to be friends, well actually they were friends with benefits but when college finished Mason disappeared without even a goodbye.... Fast forward a few years and Mason has just moved with his daughter to a new neighbourhood, little does he know his next door neighbour is his old friend Imogen only now she is more like an enemy...... Will this couple pick up where they left off ....... A funny, witty read with amazing characters, I loved Imogen and Mason and what can I say about the witty meddling grandmother and the adorable little girl who has some great one liners apart from together this cast make for a perfect read. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh and leave you with a big smile on your face look no further than Frenemies. I highly recommend this latest addition from Emma Hart.

Laugh-out-loud goodness! I adore Emma Hart’s characters and stories because they make me literally laugh out loud and I lost count of how many times I lol’ed while reading Frenemies! Life starts getting awfully complicated for Imogen when the man that never called her back move next door, years later! Mason is now a single dad and his life revolves around his little girl. Fate brought them both together but Imogen is not ready to forgive and forget! Imogen is a cracker! Grandma Jen is the best of the best and made me miss my gran so deeply. She is witty, sassy and says the things that need to be said, and does so eloquently and hilariously! She calls a spade a spade for sure!! However she has the best intentions at heart... She knows that Mason will be her son in law soon but is she right? Frenemies has an extremely satisfying storyline which ticks all the boxes.

Omg loved it!!!! When a book catches my eye (this cover is awesome) and the content is hilarious it’s a recipe for an awesome read. Imogen and Mason have such a great attraction but they fight it took and nail. Being hurt by him previously helps with the epic prank war they go on. The whole single dad vibe is such a cute added storyline. Definitely a 5 star read. This book will make you swoon and laugh all at the same time. Loved!

When Emma Hart began concentrating solely on romantic comedies, she knew exactly what she was doing. Drawing from an seemingly endless well of creativity, she manages to offer up funny romantic stories again and again, and they just continue to get better. FRENEMIES, Emma's latest offering, is a delight from start to finish. I instantly adored Imogen and Mason and their second-chance love. Immy may still be harboring the hurt that came with Mason having ghosted her after college, but that hasn't kept her from living a life that she loves. Sure, her Grandma Jen constantly needs watching, and she hasn't had a date in a while, but Immy wouldn't change a thing (well, maybe a little less of the extra with Grandma Jen...). When Mason and Maya, his little girl, move in next door, though, her calm life goes a little bit topsy-turvy. Yes, Mason knows that he did Immy wrong all those years ago. But being in her space is stirring up all the memories of what they had, and helping him to realize that some wisdom and self-awareness has come with maturity, and he's not about to let Immy get away again. Convincing her that they deserve a second chance might be tough, but it's a feat that he's more than willing to take on. Emma has a gift for writing feisty strong women, sexy yet accessible men, and little kids that will steal your heart. The added bonus of a no-holds-barred grandmother and her coterie of trouble-making friends make FRENEMIES a serious keeper. If this book isn't on your rom-com loving TBR, then it needs to be, and quickly, because NUMBER NEIGHBOR, the next standalone in this world, is just around the corner... ❤️

This one was so much fun! There was an awful lot of laughing out loud over here while I read Frenemies--and yeah, there might even have been a little bit of snort-laughing as well. (Two words: Grandma Jen. Two more words: prank war.) I mean, you couldn't help but wonder why the heck past Cameron and Imogen (OMG, love her name!) had been so dead set against being in a relationship, especially since they both secretly wanted to be in one, but at least it made for one heck of a fun story now :) Honestly--a second chance romance between two likable characters, a feisty grandma, an adorable little girl, an almost as adorable Shih tzu ("I didn't care what she said. I was not getting a dog." [the next day] "I had a dog."), an epic prank war, fabulous banter, and of course smoking hot chemistry. It all equals a perfect read to snuggle up with and escape on a winter evening. Plus, it's given me a new life goal: start a book club like Grandma Jen's when I'm (cough) slightly older and looking for new and exciting ways to drive my children (grandchildren? Dare I hope?) batty. :D Rating: 4 stars / B+ I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Sooooooo funny! As always! And really I connected to this one because I like that her “frenemy”, Mason, was her FWB from college. I didn’t take a lot of notes as I was reading because this was such a page-turner I just sped through it! It’s a pretty light-hearted story, not a lot of major drama. The feels are real, but not deep. And that’s okay, I like to have a sweet and light and refreshing story to enjoy like this one. I loved that Immy knew how important it was to make sure Mason’s daughter was considered in all things, but I also loved that Mason, and everyone around Immy, told her that it was his decision to make, not hers. That felt so realistic to me. It was also such a unique relationship that Mason had with his daughter’s mother, or his baby-mama, as they say these days. I look forward to a book about Immy’s cousin which we got a bit of a teaser at the end, as well as little quips here and there about her British neighbor. It might not be considered a series, but I love that they are connected.

This book was an absolute blast to read!! I have not laughed out loud while reading in a long time and this book had me laughing constantly. Grandma Jen and her friends said and did the wildest things that truly had me wishing that I had one of them in my life. Immy was in for the shock of her life when the new neighbor moved in. How is she going to react to Mason Black, now that he has moved to her town? Mason has taken a relocation to be closer to his daughter, Maya. However, what will he do when he moves in next door to the one that he let get away? The antics between these to are funny as h***. When the revenge battle between these two starts the one upping each other is so much fun to see who will actually win. Who really started it and what happens when it's not really who you would think. I can't wait to read more of Emma's books.

It’d been six years since Imogen Anderson has seen the impossibly handsome Mason Black and he’d only gotten hotter since then. Soon after Mason moves in next door, Immy finds a fake spider in her mailbox and declares a prank war. What Immy doesn't know is that her scheming grandmother Jennifer, who's plotting to get Immy married before her next birthday, is responsible for the spider. Will grandma Jen get her fondest wish? Frenemies is a funny and drama-filled story full of lovable characters that will have you laughing out loud. I can't wait to read Hannah's story in Number Neighbors.

Frenemies was another hilarious book from Emma Hart. She gives us some of the quirkiest characters. Imogen is a feisty thing but nothing, I mean NOTHING compared to her grandmother. Then we have lil Maya who's just an adorable spitfire that comes with the tempting new neighbor. Mason may be new to the neighborhood but he's definitely been around Immy's block a few times. Immy and Mason might have been frequent booty callers back in college the sexual tension between them is thick. I just ate up this delicious story! I mean, how can you go wrong with characters with huge personalities. We've got this nosy and totally in-your-face hilarious gran, an adorably sweet and brutally honest 4 year old, and two sexually frustrated characters fighting against that magnetic pull. Just add Emma Hart as their puppet master and I just knew I was in for a major delight! Keep em coming!! I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Oh my gosh! I love laugh out loud books, throw in the sizzling chemistry and yep, count me in! Everytime with this author! Let's not forget Immy's grandma that will have you rolling and Mayson's daughter that you just want to hug! Loved the back and forth between these two, waiting to see what was going to happen when it came to them. Were they going to be able to make something work this time or is it going to be like in college? Read it and find out!

Frenemies is the latest from Rom-Com Queen Emma Hart and, as usual, she will keep you laughing from beginning to end. Imogen and Mason's story has a second chance/enemies to lovers' vibe, filled with flirtatious banter, prank wars and plenty of laughs. I adored Mason, and loved how Immy's adamant declarations of hatred slowly thawed. Maya was such a sweet and fun addition and made me love Mason even more! Then there was Grandma Jen & the Pensioners. Emma Hart has a true talent for writing inappropriate elderly relatives, and I'm not giving up hope that one of these days we get a book solely based on them! Between spying on neighbors, getting drunk and reading BDSM & trying to marry off her granddaughter, Jen is truly my hero. If you're looking for a fun, laugh out loud story that's low on drama and high on happiness, look no further!

Frenemies by Emma Hart is her latest book and it is a funny rom-com, second chances, enemies to lovers kinda story that will have you laughing out loud, wishing Mason were YOUR new neighbor, and swooning over the absolute sweetness of this leading man and his snarky artsy old flame. And of course, what would an Emma Hart story be without a precious child, some crazy old folks, and a similarly quirky bestie, oh, and some serious prank wars? Break out the Jack Daniels - Immy is about to fall in lurve (again). Enjoy!

RATING: 4.5/5 Emma Hart never fails to deliver a great romantic comedy. Frenemies will leave you laughing and swooning for the characters until the very end. Let the war pranks begin! Imogen “Immy” Anderson had dreams of moving to the city in hopes of being discovered and having her own art shows. But that’s not what happened and she doesn’t regret one single thing about it. Living with her eighty-year old grandmother and running the family business, Art by Numbers, has made her incredibly busy to do anything else. Yet, everything changes when she spots her new neighbor moving in, non other than her college hook up, Mason Black. While they had amazing chemistry in the bedroom, they never made as friends. Nevertheless, her grandmother is insistent that Immy gives him a second chance and will not stop setting them up until they are together. Mason Black has a very demanding career as a lawyer, but his first priority is his daughter so he didn’t hesitate to move closer to her if it means spending more time together. But he wasn’t expecting to see Immy living with her grandmother next door. It has been years since they’ve seen each other and a lot has changed. But his feelings for her haven’t. He made a huge mistake letting her go all those years ago and he will not stop until he makes her his. Even if they have to prank each other in the process. Frenemies was such an entertaining read. The characters were all hilarious, specially Immy’s grandmother. She is a cute little grandma with sass. Mason is a great dad to his daughter and will leave your heart melting at the cute scenes between them. Imogen knows what she wants and she also happens to love a good prank. That’s what ultimately brings them closer, but there is the question of whether or not they can move on from their past in order to create a future together. All in all, the story was a laugh-out-loud read and will highly recommend checking it out! **I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

Frenemies; A friend turned enemy. Imogen and Mason used to be friends with benefits. When college finished Mason never called. Now years later Mason is moving in next door. Immy lives with her loud mouth gran. She is an artist and loves her job. When she sees her new hot neighbour, Imogen knows there will be trouble. His daughter is cute but he's pranks are old school. With great chemistry and a medalling grandmother, this is about to be one hot mess. Witty, fun and full of flirting. A fab new addition to Emma Hart's romantic comedies. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is a standalone story however gives hints to Emma Hart's next book Number Neighbours.

What would you do if a man you had a friends with benefits relationship showed up 6 years later? This is the exact question our main character Imogen has to deal with when Mason her former friend with benefits from college shows up next door. In college they did not like each other but had sexual chemistry that was off the charts. When he didnt call her after he left school she blew the whole thing off as a bad decision. Now that she sees him, looking hotter than ever, moving in next door she wants answers and is determined to not fall back into his bed. This book is a great mix between enemies to loves and second chance since they did previously have a sexual relationship and both secretly want more. For me Grandma Jen is the reason to pick up this great book from Emma Hart. She is an 80 year woman who speaks her mind and is sexually inappropriate not only with the people she loves but also with her book club. Imagine if you will a group of older women sitting around discussing 50 Shades of Grey like they stared in the book themselves (hide your whisky now). She is determined to make her granddaughter see that Mason is the perfect choice for her. She tells Immy that she read her diary all those years ago and knows that Mason is the one she slept with back at school and keeps reminding her of this fact. Emma Hart is one of my favorite writers. She not only writes a great romance but she gives her characters unique personalities that can never be forgotten (see Grandma Jen above). I am so happy that with Immy having her HEA Grandma Jen is now going to set her eyes on hooking up her other granddaughter Hannah. Thank you to Emma for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Mason and Immy are the definition of frenemies. They both like each other, bug would rather be stubborn and sassy about it. I must say I did really enjoy the fun and sassy side they had. It was very amusing to see them try to work through it all. Add to that Immy's crazy grandma and Mason's super cute daughter and it made for a really fun read. I was crazy entertained and practically read it in one day!

Putting the 'friend' in enemies. Emma Hart never fails to deliver on the heart and humor when it comes to her books, and I’m happy to say that Frenemies lived up to expectations. It was a cute story that kept me interested from the first to last page. It was fun with plenty of heat and some full-on sexy banter. Imogen meets Mason again after six years when he and his young son become her neighbor. It’s not exactly love at first sight but with Imogen’s grandma pulling some strings in the background, it was clear she wasn’t getting away from him any time soon. Mason was a wonderful, sweet and caring dad. He’s the book boyfriend we all want to keep for ourselves. One-Click this little gem and swoon your heart out.

I love Emma Hart's books, have been a fan forever it seems, to this day my favorite will be Holly Woods Files, favorite..If you haven't read please do so..Ok Let me get to this one. So we meet Imogen who has a crazy grandmother, and we seem to have a lot of those, anywho Jen(crazy gran) is looking out the window when she sees a hot piece of (you know) and Imogen does not want to hear, when she looks out the window who does she her long lost love, the guy who broke her heart and never called after being together for 2 years, now they both said it was casual and no feelings involved but they were both lying. Now here comes Mason with a child in tow, and is shocked that it was the girl that he never forgot. Imogen claims that she is mad at him because he never called and is hurt by this, however she didn't act it, she was always at his house, regardless is grandma wanted her to take baked goods, if she really wanted Mason to have the goods she could take them, but nooooo Imogen would go then say I am mad at you and do not want to be friends. I loved the old ladies, and I liked Imogen I just wish she got a heart felt apology and actually made him work for it. Mason, don't tell me you loved her and she is your soul mate, the girl you never forgot-bull buddy you would have called had that been the case. rcvd an arc at no cost to author..voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

4.5 stars I really enjoyed Frenemies by Emma Hart. The storyline is well written, it's entertaining from start to end, I laughed, I swooned and then laughed some more and I fell in love with all the characters, especially Grandma Jen, she was a hoot! lol I loved watching Immy and Mason get their second chance at love. They were funny, passionate and at times frustrating but overall they were two souls who truly belonged together. Frenemies is one of those books once you start reading you won't want to put down. I'm so happy to have read it and I highly recommend it.

In true Emma Hart fashion she gave us an absolutely fun, witty and entertaining read from beginning to end! From the very first chapter I was smiling and laughing from Imogene and her grandmother's snarky relationship and banter but the pranks between Immy and Mason....OMGEEE!!! Immy and Mason had a physical relationship in college but fell apart when Mason graduated and left her behind. Neither would admit their feelings for each other but what happens when fate brings them face to face 6 years later? Can they rekindle what they thought they once lost? If you want a book that will have you enjoying page after page of one hilarious read then one-click Frenemies today!

***5 Stars*** This was a such a fun read that was filled with great characters, a good dose of crazy and a whole bunch of heart that it made it so easy to get lost in the story that I was quite put out when there were no more words to read. I loved Mason and Imogen aka Immy. They are both really good people with really good hearts and had me wishing I could be friends with them myself. Their frenemies to lovers second chance romance was a lot of fun to experience. Their shared past does made things a bit bumpy and old wounds to get re-opened, but it also drew them together (along with a little outside help) and made them confront what happened and be honest with each other about where their hearts and heads were at. The chemistry between them was hot, their bantering was a lot of fun and I really liked how everything turned out for them. With a title like Frenemies and the knowledge that prank wars would be apart of the storyline, I was prepared for a full on OTT romcom, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it didn’t go that far. Oh, the pranks were awesome, but the focus was truly on letting go of the past and reaching for the future you want. And as for the supporting cast of characters, I loved them all Fran and Matt were awesome, Maya was adorable and I cannot wait for Hannah’s book to drop. But the stars of the book were Jen and her stalker crew. These ladies were amazing and I cannot wait to see what they get up to in the next! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~
