From the Ashes

Daniel Escobar's poetry debut, "From the Ashes", takes you on an emotional journey of symbolic death and rebirth. Drawing from personal experiences while using raw and powerful imagery and language, Daniel showcases the fall to the bottom that comes from suffering through abuse and betrayal. You are then taken through the painstaking battle that is pulling yourself back up from those depths into the warmth of the sun again, only to be burned at the hands of that same fire. Despite all of that, Daniel ends on a triumphant note of strength and resilience, like a phoenix rising up from the ruins of his own destruction. "From the Ashes" is a story of moments of weakness and strength. Of dancing with the darkest and brightest parts of yourself. Of learning to heal and love yourself again after abandoning who you are. This is a perfectly imperfect journey of someone who is in the midst of healing and still trying to learn about who they are. Embracing the flaws, mistakes, naivety and immaturity that comes with that. This is his story - but it is also your story. No matter how broken down and beaten you are or may have been, you are reminded that you are not alone and from the ashes, you will rise again.
