This story is sweet and clean. The characters are great and fully developed. There are only 113 pages with a teaser to another story. This story should have been longer and taken further into their relationship. I did enjoy reading this story, but question why it wasn't fully written. esk 09/2016

A well written story of two people with emotional scars. When Cali and Grant meet they are drawn to each other. Cali doesn't trust men because of her failed marriage. Grant walked away from plane crash that killed 2 others and has survivor's guilt. Will they be able to move forward and learn to trust and love again? Since ended with a few unanswered questions gave it 3 stars instead of 4. joy943

This is a nice Christian romance, but it felt a little unbelievable to me--but then, a lot of fictions sound like fiction, right? Still, I think it's worth at least four stars. Add one very disillusioned but delectable (of course) divorcee to one handsome (of course) renown artist, and the results are a feel-good story that won't leave your hair standing on end after finishing it. I like happily-ever-afters.

Enjoying the sweet story. Only thing I notice is author talks about ocean breezes. If Windswept Bay is near Naples and Tampa, it is on the Gulf not the ocean.

I really enjoyed this story about Cali the part-owner of a resort and Grant a sought after artist and rancher as they made their way through different kinds of emotional pain and became great friends--in spite of her nosy sisters and protective brothers.

This was a sweet, well written book. Cali has come home to help run the family resort, wary of love after going through a painful breakup. Grant is suffering from survivor's guilt after walking away the only survivor of a plane crash that killed his best friend and the pilot. He's an artist, and as a favor to his neighboring ranch owner, he agrees to come to Windswept Bay to paint a mural at his neighbor's family's resort. Can Cali and grant overcome their emotional scars and learn to trust each other? I enjoyed this book, the first in a series with related characters set in Windswept Bay. It can be read as a stand alone book. I am eager to read the rest of the series, though!

Cali Sinclair who works at her family resort is determined not to trust a man again after her divorce. Famous painter, Grant Sinclair, is dealing with survivor's guilt when he comes to paint murals at the resort as a favor to his friend, Cam Sinclair. Debra Clopton makes you feel the emotions of both of the protagonists. From This Moment On is an excellent story of learning to trust again. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean contemporary romance. I received a free e-book of From This Moment On from the author. This is my honest review of the book.

Loved this book by Debra Clopton. Part of a new series set in Florida, a bit of a departure from her cowboys, but drew me in and well worth the read. So excited to read the other books.

First I will say this is my first book by Debra Clopton and it won’t be the last. I’m so glad that this book is the first of a series Windswept Bay because I didn’t want it to end. The author did a great job of describing Windswept Bay. I live just north of St. Pete and know there isn’t a real Windswept Bay, but I was ready to jump in the car and drive down it sounded so nice. The characters were well written and true to life. Also, this is a sweet romance so it’s great to read something without bad words a lot of sex. The story is Cali Sinclair who went through a very bad divorce and returns to her family’s resort. She wants to have a family but has been deeply hurt by her ex and not sure if she can trust men. Then she hires, Grant Ellington, a well-known mural artist to help restore the resort. He has his own issues just recovering from a plane crash where he was the only one to survive losing two friends. When they meet there are sparks but they both are going through rough times especially Cali. Working with him for a few weeks starts to break down the barriers she has put around her heart and Grant can’t stop thinking about. I won’t tell you the ending but I did think it ended rather abruptly but then maybe that’s because I didn’t want it to end.

This book was a great start to a wonderful series in Windswept Bay. With nine total siblings there should be enough fun and adventure to go around. Cali returns home after a disastrous divorce to help run the family resort. Trying to help get the renovations going, her brother Cam gets his neighbor Grant, a famous painter, to fly to the resort to paint a wall mural. He has his own past to work through. He survived a plane crash that killed his best friend and the pilot of the plane. Guilt has crippled him to the point that he hasn't been able to paint. Will the beauty of Windswept Bay help Grant put a paint brush back in his hand? And how will Cali ever be able to trust and love another man after what her ex put her through? Two wounded souls just trying to make it through each day. This was a great story of healing and love. The characters were real and written with great emotion. I could almost hear the waves and feel the sand between my toes. It was fun getting to know a little about Cali's sisters as well. Two of the triplets worked with her at the resort. They were both a little nosy and a little pushy but very lovable. "Rumor" has it that one of those two will be featured in book two of the series. Looking forward to that! I received an ebook copy from the author for my honest opinion, which I have given.

From this Moment On, written by Debra Clopton, is the first book in the WIndswept Bay series. I struggled to connect at the beginning of this book...figuring out who was in the Sinclair family and the roles that they played in each others lives and in the small boutique resort that they operated on the island in Florida. Once I figured it out, the pages whipped by and the story grew better as I connected. This story is mainly introducing us to a few of the Sinclair family, but focuses on Cali Sinclair. She's a wounded soul that has some scars and recently moved back to the island and to the resort to move on in her life. Can she truly move past the past?! I think my favorite character of this book is definitely Grant Ellington...all time gorgeous hunk of man from Texas, ranch owner, and renown artist. Unfortunately, Grant had recently gone through a tragedy himself...he was the sole survivor of a plane crash that killed two of his good friends. Survivors guilt was eating at him when his neighbor and good friend, Cam Sinclair (yes, related to the Sinclairs that own the resort) asked him to help his sisters my painting three murals at the resort. Grant didn't know what an impact his trip to the resort would have on him for his present broken spirit and possibly his future. Was he really capable of caring about people when he was so saddened over losing his close friends in the plane crash?! Could he truly paint again after such sadness that had overwhelmed his life? I'm excited to see what happens in the next book, Somewhere with You, book two about the Sinclair sister, Shar. Having read book one and learned a bit about the family, I'm sure the connection will be easier and more gripping as I learn more of this other sister! From this Moment On is a clean read. It does have some kissing, not in excess. It does not have a preachy message nor is it a highly spiritual read. I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest review.

Grant Ellington is trying to move past survivor's guilt and continue to live his life. Yet, how can he when so much reminds him of the two good men who died while he lived? Yet, his neighbor's sisters need help with renovations of their Florida resort and his artwork is the perfect solution. What he doesn't expect is to find the solution to his emotional turmoil in the woman running the resort. Cali Sinclair has sworn off men after her recent divorce. She can't trust them and is therefore unwilling to admit her attraction to the good looking artist her brother arranged to come paint murals on 3 walls at the resort. After all, he'll be leaving once he's done with his painting. This is a tender story of moving beyond past tragedy and pain. Both Grant and Cali have deep emotional trauma, yet they find understanding and acceptance in each other. Can they overcome their fear and resolve the logistical problems to stay together? There's more to enjoy about this story than just getting to know Grant and Cali. The reader also gets to know Cali's siblings and others at the resort. It's a setup for a great series of books focusing on each of the Sinclair siblings. Note: I received a complimentary copy for an honest review. Romance - PG - kissing only Language - clean. Nothing offensive My rating - 4.5 stars

What a sweet story this was! At the beginning of the book, we see two wounded people who are just doing their best to get by from day to day. Both Cali and Grant carry burdens of guilt and lost hope. Even though their emotional obstacles come from very different events in their lives, they each could use a fresh start. And that is definitely what they get in From This Moment On. I really enjoyed this first book of the Windswept Bay series. Grant and Cali had great chemistry and romantic tension. There were also some other fun characters who were introduced in this novel and I’m looking forward to reading their stories in future books. I thought that Grant’s journey of learning to live again and Cali’s journey of learning to trust again made for a beautiful love story. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

From This Moment On by Debra Clopton Windswept Bay Series Book One Grant Ellington is stepping out of his reclusive state after six months. After a plane crash that took the lives of two of his friends, he stayed on his ranch. Keeping his feet on solid ground. Until now. His friend and neighbor asked a favor of him. To paint some murals for his sisters' resort. He'd said yes, not knowing if he could still use his talents or not. Cali Sinclair was happy working with two of her sisters at their island resort. The only one out of nine children to marry—and she had failed at that. She didn't need another man...ever. She had found peace once again at Windswept Bay. Her home. The beautiful island surroundings has brought peace to Cali's life and the island...and Cali...are doing the same for Grant. This is the first book in this series and I'll be biting at the bit for the next books. I really enjoyed this. And even though Grant is an artist and on a beach—he still has his cowboy roots and heart.

A wonderful story of healing, moving on, and new found love. Cali Sinclair is finally free of her ex husband. Divorced and resettled back in Windswept Bay, she's determined to make the family inn the best it can be. Never again will she risk her heart and endure the nightmare that was her marriage. Grant Ellington is only in Windswept Bay to repay a debt to a friend. Having lived through a horrific accident 6 months ago and dealing with survivors guilt has consumed him. He's agreed to paint murals for his friends sister at her resort. Hopefully he'll be able to create. He hasn't painted a thing since the accident. Thankfully the magic of the location not only has his creative juices flowing but Cali has his heart coming back to life as well. This is a quick, light read that is wonderfully written. This is the first book in a new series and with the characters we meet in this one, I am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
