Pope Benedict XVI declared the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (+1979) Venerable, one of the steps leading to the Canonization of an individual making them Saints of the Roman Catholic Church. Sheen was known as the head of the Propagation of the Faith in New York and as the most popular and Charistmatic preacher on radio and television over a period of some 60 years. This is his biography.

About the Author

Kathleen Riley, a native of Lockport, New York, was an Associate Professor of History at Ohio Dominican University. She received her B.A. from Nazareth College of Rochester, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
