Chapter One
Travelers in Route
The three are now on their way down the portal to the next world. The three had never been so cold in their lives. They all wished that they would have worn something more suited to the cold of this portal; even the portals before were never this long or cold. They were all spinning and shivering as they went down the passage way to what they hope to be a warmer world. All of a sudden they all went crashing face first on a piece of land in the middle of the portal.
"What the heck did we hit" Ron said as he pealed his body off the ground.
"It appears to be a chunk of ground Ron" replied Lillanium as she got up to her feet and feeling the pain of the fall throughout her tiny body. "Jeffrow you okay?"
Jeffrow then rolled over and looked up and said "Darn piece of rock, a feller could be hurt bad with this thin' in the way!" "We're also still in this darn transport syst'm!"
"That we are everything is still a deep brilliant blue and this place is cold as crap but there is vegetation growing in this place" said Ron "Well I hope something is eatable on this stinking rock; I'm hungry!"
As soon as the three stood up and dusted themselves off they went to explore the new land they found themselves in. The vegetation was a strange brown-orange color but still looked healthy. There were trees and bushes in this cold strange land. The three also saw some stuff that looks like it might be eatable but Ron would have to inspect it first before anyone could eat any of it. The last thing they needed to do was eat something to make them all sick or immobilize them! Ron then began the task of examining the vegetation for something they all could eat. Ron determined that only 2 of species of what appeared to be fruit to be harmful to them so he told the others to steer clear of these two types of fruit things. The three then ate their fill of food then were off again to explore the land; then try to figure out how to get off of it.
"Maybe our next course of action should be to find some sort of thing to make warmer clothing" said Lillanium with some hope the other two would agree with her.
"We are going to find the end of this rock then we will then decided what to do next" said Ron "No need in getting something warmer if we are getting off of this rock." "Now let's get moving it will help us warm up for the time being."
The three didn't have to travel too far to find the end of the landmass. When they approached the edge they noticed that the portal had a river flowing from the rock in the direction they needed to go. Ron found a stick and put it into the water and when he pulled it out it was smaller then when he put it in! Then Ron decided to put a piece of fruit on the end of a stick to see what would happen to the fruit. When he pulled the fruit and the stick back out of the water the fruit and stick had shrank in size.
"I wonder if this is liquid nitrogen" said Ron "There is no real way to tell but it does the same thing that liquid nitrogen does but that don't make it that."
"Feller you lost me" said Jeffrow with a puzzled look on his face.
"The thing is I don't know if we can get off this rock Jeffrow" said Ron in frustration.
From out of no where a bull came running towards the three. The bull was a beautiful black and it had a nose ring made of what appeared to be silver. The bull seemed to mean business and had its head lowered to try and gore one of them. All three of them dodged the bull with no incident several times then the bull did something they all did not expect the bull turned into an elderly looking human man. The man had long white hair and beard; he was about 6 feet 5 inches tall. This man was also very muscular and wore what appeared to be some outfit from the Greek or Roman time frame on earth. He walked with confidence up to the three and stood there staring at them.
Ron then said "Hi, my name is Ron we are apart of the Galactic Counsel and we are their chosen warriors." "This here is Jeffrow and this hear is Lillanium."
"Let me see the marks that you all should bare then" said the old man with a loud low voice.
"Tell us your name and we shall show you our marks" shouted Ron!
"I asked first and I shall see them or I shall be forced to destroy you or die trying" said the old man in anger.
The three not wanting a fight all showed him there marks on their bodies. He looked over them all very carefully while looking at the palms of his hands. When he was done with his inspection of their marks he came back to Ron and looked him dead into the eyes.
"Okay White Wizard my name is Achelous and I was apart of a three at one point and this is where I came to Retire" said the old man as he showed Ron his hands.
Achelous had the Galactic seal in the same hand as Ron and saw that he was also a White Wizard at some point in time. Ron motioned for the others to come and see the marks on Achelous hands. They were all in aw; they could not believe they ran into one of the three from a time long ago.
"So the Galactic Counsel sent you here for Retirement" Ron said sounding a little confused.
"No, I asked them to send me here because I could not return to my home planet ... that and I cannot stand a lot of beings around me" said Achelous with a sigh "That is what happens to some of us.... We just get tired of war and other beings!" "So I chose the one place that I knew I could survive and not become something that I would hate.... The evil I was fighting."
"I am glade you found a place where you could live in peace other then the occasional travelers like us" said Ron with a smirk.
"Not too many people come through but when they do they are usually someone the Galactic Counsel has sent on a mission or have gotten here by mistake" laughed Achelous. "Well I am sure you all would like some warmer clothes and a place to lay your head down for the night." "Just follow me to my home and you can stay there until we can get you out of here and onto your next mission!"
While the three were following Achelous to his home the portal opened once again and spat out three creatures. They looked like the sorcerer and the two witches from the court of King Talon. They had the same tattered garments on that they were wearing when they left the King to his doom.
"Fine place we landed in ... it is very brrrrr" said Spaz.
"Quit your winning witch we need to figure out where we landed and how to get the rest of the way to where we are going" shouted Kinon "I so hate these portal jumps you never know where you will end up!"
"Sister we should use our magic to get something warmer that will solve that problem and as far as these portal things we were told by the head sorcerer of Sorcerer's Palace to make sure we keep an eye on the three" said Cheman.
"Yes once again witches you are right" Kinon sighed "Now all we have to do is find them shouldn't be too hard; this place cannot be too big."
The three began there search for Ron, Jeffrow, and Lillanium. They cast a spell to try and find Ron's magic foot steps and the spell worked. They followed the tracks to the river on the other side of the land. They saw that there was another two magical beings with them.
"Great now we are going to be out numbered how are we going to be able to keep them from going onto the next world" Spaz said shaking with fear.
"We will find a way my sister and we will kill them all" shouted Cheman.
"We shouldn't have to worry too much about one of these magical creatures I think because it looks like a beast" said Kinon.
"Let's follow these tracks here leading away from the water to find those on whom we must keep our eyes on" said Cheman.
They followed the tracks to what looked to be a huge Rock. The tracks stopped two feet in front of the rock. They searched high and low for any signs that the three used magic to move to a different location on this little bit of land in the middle of the portal, the only thing that they saw with the spells that they cast that the rock glowed. They all figured if they touched the rock it would transport them to where ever the three had gone to. They touched the rock and nothing happened they were all still standing there looking at each other dumbfounded. The rock did not appear to be enchanted; what they didn't know was it was a teleporter ran by energy supplied by the Galactic Counsel.
"What do we do now O' great sorcerer" ask Charman in a sarcastic tone.
"We wait" scowled Kinon.
Down in the home of Achelous the three were making themselves comfortable while Achelous went into the kitchen. The three started to smell the food that he was cooking and there mouths started to water. They were so hungry and were glade to have a home cooked meal for once. Once Achelous was done he poke his head back into the room and was waving his hand for them to follow him. They all got up quickly and went to the kitchen to see what the wonderful smell was. When they entered the room they saw a huge table covered with meat and fruit. Achelous sat down and made a gesture for the rest of them to follow suit. The three sat down and ate greedily. Once everyone was done eating the three just sat there and thought to themselves; I should have not ate this much.
"I have something to tell all of you" spoke Achelous in a deep soft tone "You were followed here by three who use the black arts." "Before you came there was many who came here and that are now gone who used the black arts." "I assume that you are following these beings and the three in trail of you are supposed to take you out of the equation." "Will you kindly explain what is going on Ron White Wizard of Earth?"
"We are following the first group of sorcerers to try and get back the White Wizard Weapon" said Ron.
"Are you telling me they have united the five pieces of that weapon" Achelous said with a harsh and worried tone.
"Five pieces" asked the Three in unison "We were just told of the weapon and no more" said Ron.
"Now I will show you to the room where you all will sleep" chuckled Achelous "We will talk about this weapon more later on!"
They followed him through out his home and were admiring all his furniture and the painting he had hanging every where. Ron came to realize that they were underground in a cave but every place in the home was well lighted by candles. The cave had some many different formations of rocks and crystals of all colors. This cave was nothing short of wonderful. Achelous showed Ron and Jeffrow there shared room. He took Lillanium further down the hall and showed her to her private quarters. Lillanium was so happy she had a place to herself because she had to share everything sense this whole three thing started. They all had a restful sleep that night knowing that they were protected by the home of there new found Friend.
Achelous waited to the three friends went to sleep and he opened a wall in the study room of his cave. With in the wall was a big computerized device that had a screen. He sat down in a chair in front of the screen and pushed a button. He waited a few minutes and Rich came up on the screen.
"What is going on Achelous" ask Rich sleepy eyed.
"I have Ron, Jeffrow, and Lillanium here; they also have three black magic users in trail" said Achelous "There was also a group of black magic users that came through here before that."
"Does this concern the white wizard weapon" ask Rich.
"Yes, it does." "Why didn't you tell them that there are five parts to the weapon" asked Achelous.
"I thought if they could get the first part from them that it wouldn't be a big problem" said Rich "and it is not to you to question the counsel on how it conducts business!!"
"Alright I am sorry for over stepping and not staying in my lane." "I would like to join them on this journey for this weapon seeking sense it was me who broke up the weapon and hid the parts" said Achelous.
"Okay, you may aid them on this mission and I am also going to send Eldwald to you and the three to help out" said Rich "There is just too many variables and too many magic users involved to just let Ron go this one by himself. He is still not strong enough yet!"
"Why didn't you mention the other two" asked Achelous.
"I didn't mention them because they are not going to be much help with the magic users but they will help out with regular battles" said Rich "With that being said I am going back to bed."
The screen went blank right in front of his eyes. He shut down his communicator and closed up the room so the three will not be able to find the device. He blew out all the candles in the cave and retired to his chambers to contemplate the next move. Achelous knew that the three black magic users were waiting for them to come out of the teleporter on the surface.
The next morning the three friends were woken by the sounds of clanging pots and pans and could smell the wonderful smells that came from the kitchen. They all hurried to get dressed they didn't want to keep Achelous waiting on them. Once they were all dressed they ran down the hall that took them to the dinning area. They all sat down in the seats that they occupied the night before and waited for Achelous to either bring breakfast to them or to call them into the kitchen and get themselves some of the food. They sat there patiently listening to the sounds of the ruckus in the kitchen and just savoring the smells of the food with in.
The sounds stopped abruptly then Achelous shouted "Come into the kitchen if you three want some food or you could just sit around the table and starve!"
They all made a mad dash for the kitchen to try to be the first one to get this delicious smelling food. They all tried to fit through the massive kitchen door at the same time and they all went stumbling into the kitchen and onto their bellies on the kitchen floor. Achelous just started to laugh deep and hardy at the site he saw coming through the kitchen door.
"There is not any food down there you three" Achelous said still laughing "You all might want to stand up wash your hands in the kitchen sink then grab a plate and I will serve you your food." "Once you get your food sit at the same places you did last night and I will be in to join you in a second."
They all got up and did what Achelous instructed them to do and shortly after the last of the three sat down at the table Achelous came in with his food and sat down. The three ate greedily because they didn't know when they were going to get a meal like this next. Achelous ate slowly and chuckled to himself at the way they were eating. He honestly enjoyed having some company, he like them because they were all good creatures and didn't act like other Counsel Threes have acted in the past. They were arrogant and did as they pleased this three seem to want to please their elders and wanted to do justice to their positions.
"Now that we are all done eating we need to get down to business" said Achelous.
"Okay, so what do we need to do Achelous to get off this.... What ever this is" asked Ron.
"That is going to be the hard part" Achelous chuckled "We are going to need to clear some trees to make a boat." "We will need to treat the wood in the water first, then we may build."
"How long is this going to take" asked Lillanium.
"It will take as long as it is going to take to build it to hold 20 people but be manned by three" said Achelous "The Counsel also thinks that it is a wise idea that I come with you and we will meet up with Eldwald on the Planet."
"Why so many Fellers with magic" asked Jeffrow.
"Because Ron is not ready to handle this kind of assault by himself" replied Achelous.
"He has us" shouted Lillanium.
