Andy Kantar grew up in Minneapolis where he was a benchwarmer on a basketball team that won just two games. Kantar is also the author of Great Lakes shipwreck books for young adults. His first book, 29 Missing, on the wreck of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald, was a Read Michigan selection. His work has also been nominated for the Great Lakes Book Award and was named finalist for the ForeWord Book of the Year for Young Adults.
