About the Author

Cary Potts, professional bassist/composer, attended Livingston/Rutgers University, then transfered to Berklee College of Music. Over a span of 25 years, he focused on performing, having had the distinct pleasure of working with many artists including Stanley Turrentine, Herb Ellis, Chuck Berry,.Ben E King, Misato Watanabe, Zhane, Hugh Jackman, and Phylicia Rashaad. From clubs, to stadiums, to the Broadway stage, Cary has performed around the globe.
In 2008, he suffered a stroke, causing paralysis of the left side. While limiting his bass playing, it has opened up new opportunities for musical expression.
