Ghost Rememberer
In the summer of 1895, when Brenton Grey rolls into the industrious little town of Carmallow Crown, he knows not the sordid secrets that live there—nor what murderous mysteries fidget restlessly beneath its soil. Haunted by a comical apparition, shocked by a vicious murder, and confounded by puzzles wrapped up in riddles, the unlikely detective finds himself on a hunt for not one, but three different killers. As he questions his own sanity, and wrestles ageless moral dilemmas, he is taken on an emotional journey that will change him forever. In a time of horse carriages, pouffy dresses and class separations—at the dawn of electricity, the bowler hat, and the questioning of gender identity—a tale unfolds of forbidden lusts, dark deeds, and buried bones. Brenton Grey must become a master manipulator, to bring justice, closure and peace, to an entire town—and to a flirty ghost, with a wicked sense of humour.

About the Author

Tyrus Buckley is geeky, overweight, and addicted to coffee. He has a cheeky sarcastic wit that his friends find annoying, but are too polite to say. He's far too private to tell people where he lives, and prefers to remain aloof and mysterious—only because the drab reality of his existence, would be as exciting to his readers, as a muddy old boot with a hole in it. Tyrus started out as a schoolteacher, before moving into the commercial sector. He had a knack for clashing with corvine headmasters, who didn't approve of his fashion sense. After years of working as an IT specialist, he realised that he didn't like it very much, but remains a loyal Linux user, and advocate. Having a passion for psychology, stemming from his teaching days, Tyrus obtained diplomas in psychotherapy and child development psychology. Using these, he provides talk therapy to adolescents and adults alike, dealing specifically with grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and body-image problems. As a volunteer police reserve and first-responder, he has also provided trauma counselling to victims, when needed—and to some who pretended to be victims, when they weren't. This passion for helping real people, with real emotions—and the resultant experiences gained through tinkering around in other people's heads, screwdriver in hand—has had a tremendous impact on his written works, and on the deeper messages carried behind the drama, mystery and dry humour.
