Overview

High powered divorce lawyer, Victoria Larkin, is known as the ice queen. Tough. Emotionless. What they don't know, is that ten years ago, she lost everything. Including her hope for the future.

Chase Monroe struggles with his own demons. Devastated by guilt and on a mission to correct his past, he uses his skills as a college psychology professor to help others move beyond their grief.

When Victoria is forced to attend grief counselling, she meets Chase, and there is an instant attraction. Chase is determined to help her confront her past and find happiness. Victoria is afraid to relive her pain.

Just as they begin to step forward, tragedy strikes and throws them backwards, and they find themselves, once again, shackled to the past.

Can Chase and Victoria find the path to a happy future together? Or will they forever be wishing for yesterday?

WOW - This read is fantastic! Such a strong emotional beginning you can't help but get sucked in. A gentle love story with romance that will tear your heart out and stitch it back together again. Ben and Victoria have the perfect relationship and work through huge issues to get to where they want to be. Sarah is their ray of sunshine and their life. One person should not have to go through so much and be so strong. Chase is broken, shattered, but slowly piecing himself back together. Meeting Tori is everything he needs to help himself heal and help her find her own strength. Their group is their support and with their help, family and a special connection that can not be defined, they help each other heal and live. The way each of their lives plays out and the way the story progresses is perfect. Not revealing too much and not going too slow or too fast. You learn as you go and heal after you break. Get your tissues out and be prepared to have your heart broken and melted. This is one story you will not regret reading and will never forget. These authors write beautifully on their own but together they make magic!

5 Beautiful Stars!!! 5 Beautiful Stars!!! “There is no option number three. When it came to passing out happiness, apparently my bucket was already too full of misery. Only this time, this time I opened myself up so much that I don’t know how to close the wounds again. There is a searing fire that is down deep in the depths of me, breaking me beyond recognition.” Ever since I read Erased by K.Webster and Elle Christensen, I have been dying for the two of them to work together again. Their writing is like magic. It sucks you and captivates you. It makes you feel and truly experience the words written on the pages. So, when I heard about Give Me Yesterday, I was like sign me up please! I had to read it! I had to know if the two of them would make magic again, and they did. Give Me Yesterday pulled me in from the very first page. That prologue. Oh, my goodness; that prologue. I made two pages in and knew I was about to read something amazing. In matter of minutes, my heart was completely broken. ” I want to ask where the third casket is. I can’t live without a heart, right? And yet, here I am, breathing without them.” My heart ached for Victoria and I could not wait to read more. Victoria is a shell of the woman she used to be. She is ruthless, heartless and never lets anyone get close to her. Until one day, she breaks and her boss forces her into grief counselling. At first she mocks it. She just wants to get it over with and get back to her life. But then she meets Chase and all bets are off. {“I don’t have a pet fish. But, I do struggle everyday, just like you do–and everyone else in here for that matter. Wishing for God to give me yesterday. To find a way to change the past and to breathe life back into those that were lost. Just because we all grieve differently doesn’t mean we all don’t suffer with same black, endless, aching holes of despair deep within our hearts.” -Chase} Slowly, but surely, Chase makes it his mission to break Victoria’s cold exterior and remind her that she is alive. “No one can be strong all of the time. That’s why it’s in our human nature to seek another soul out there. Someone to be strong some of the time for us. Someone to share your burdens with.” He is determined to help her find peace and finally be able to move on. What neither one of them planned on, was falling in love.“I’m addicted to this woman. Her presence is a salve to the gaping hole in my heart. A light to scare away the darkness of the hate for myself. I need her.” Just when Victoria finds the strength to move on, she learns something that destroys everything that her and Chase worked so hard for. Will Chase and Victoria be able to escape the ghosts of their pasts or will they always be wishing for yesterday?? I absolutely loved everything about this story. I felt an instant connection to Victoria and Chase. Their emotions were so raw, so real, so palpable. You just wanted to hug them both and promise them that everything would be ok. Victoria is hardworking, stubborn, frustrating, smart and still grieving. She has so much love to give and I love that Chase was up for that challenge. Chase. How could you not love Chase? He was smart and funny. He was 100% alpha male. He was determined. But, under all of that, lived a tortured soul. And being with Victoria, gave him faith and the hope to move on and what he least expected; love. Give Me Yesterday takes you on one emotional ride. The writing is flawless and captivating. It will make you

The first time I read this I wasn't too sure it was a book for me. I was wrong. The more I read the more I couldn't put it down, I just had to continue reading. This story isn't just about finding love, it's about loss, grief, loneliness and also about forgiveness, second chances to those that truly deserve to be happy despite all the bad that has happened to them. And yes, love too. This story is painful and real and I'm glad I stuck with it. 5 stars.
