About the Author

Matt Drake, PhD, CFPIM, is assistant professor of supply chain management
and director of International Business Programs at the Palumbo-Donahue
School of Business at Duquesne University, where he teaches courses in global
transportation and logistics, production planning and inventory control, and
operations management. Dr. Drake received a BS in Business Administration
from Duquesne University and an MSIE and PhD in Industrial Engineering
from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research has been published in
numerous academic journals including European Journal of Operational Research,
OMEGA, International Journal of Production Economics, Naval Research Logistics, OR
Spectrum, Science and Engineering Ethics, and Journal of Business Ethics. He has also published numerous case studies and pedagogical tools in INFORMS Transactions
on Education and Spreadsheets in Education.
