God Loves You
God Loves You is about reflections to deepen the practice of your faith. Life is our pathway and Jesus is our teacher if we allow our Lord into our heart, mind, and soul. The youth of today are our future! I have been a religious teacher for better than thirty-six years at the grammar, middle, and now high school levels. Some of the resounding questions that I am always asked are, "How do we allow God into our life?" "Why is the Bible so intimidating?" And, "How do we experience growth in our faith?" I wanted reflections to help both our youth and struggling adults that are succinct, poignant, and Jesus-centered to help them along the path of life.

About the Author

Richard E Parsons was born in 1949. Yes, the year that NATO was founded. A baby boomer after WW II and grew up in rural America. He went to the Merchant Marine Academy in Castine, Maine. Graduated with a BS degree in engineering, a third engineers’ license, and was commissioned for the United States Navy.
Shipped to Africa and saw the world. He became disillusioned with many things that he saw, especially in the harsh ways people are treated. Entered a Benedictine monastery and Jesus touched his heart. Under the Benedictine tutelage, he learned about spirituality and the Bible well. He took the name of Brother James. He left the religious life and worked for International Paper for some thirty-four years, teaching in many churches as a catechist, from Maine, to Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Michigan. He enjoys the youth of today, for they are bright, energetic, and talented. In the twilight of his life, he enjoys practicing his faith, teaching, and writing along with enjoying his grandchildren.
