The story was good and I enjoyed it but there were numerous grammatical errors and a few conflicting references that didn't make sense compared to previous content. Not sure if it's just the ebook or the editor was asleep on the job?

Gone with the Witch is the sixth book in the Wishcraft Mystery series by Heather Blake. This is the first book I've read in this series and I had no trouble getting into the story. The author does a good job of introducing the characters. I really enjoyed this book. I am an animal lover so reading about the Extravaganza that took place was very enjoyable. I definitely did not guess the ending. I'm looking forward to starting at the beginning of the series as well as the next book in the series to see how things work out for everyone based on this ending. I received this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was a fantastic read. This book is the 6th in the series but the fist that I have read. The setting was great! The village has a mix of mortals and crafters. The magical elements were done flawlessly. The mystery was great. There were actually several mysteries. And there was one mystery that has been going on though all of the books. The identity of the Elder. For everyone that has been waiting all of this time to find out the Elder's identity, you should go grab a copy of the book. Because the Elders identity is revealed in this one! I really liked Nick and Darcy's relationship. And Mimi, Nick's daughter, is a very loveable character as well. The whole town is full of loveable characters. And I have to say I love all of the familiars! I think my favorite was Pepe, the 200 year old talking mouse! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This review is entirely composed of my thoughts and my thoughts only.

Another charming visit to the Enchanted Village with the Merriweather sisters and their assortment of vibrant friends! This visit brings us to the annual pet show where the antics are in full force. A nice topsy turvy plot line intertwines multiple mysteries with multiple suspects to twist the story line and keep you guessing. I love that the cast of suspects fit either crime as it kept you guessing a bit longer on the "whodoneit" aspect of the book. While the author has woven multiple mysteries throughout the story, it added to the story without confusing the plot line. I'm thrilled the author selected me to read an advanced copy of this book and give an unbiased review as I've found a new cast of characters to enjoy reading. Now I just have to go back to the start of the series and enjoy the entire story line! If you like a good cozy mystery, then you are going to love this series especially if you like a little magic sprinkled in!

Gone with the Witch by Heather Blake is the sixth book in A Wishcraft Mystery series. The Enchanted Village is getting ready for The Pawsitively Enchanted Pet Extravaganza. The organizer (and creator) of the event, Ivy Teasdale has hired Darcy Merriweather (through her business As You Wish) to keep an eye on the event. The last couple of years there have been some incidents and Ivy does not want anything to happen this year. Darcy is to especially keep an eye on Natasha Norcliffe. Natasha with her cat, Titania likes to win. So that Darcy can snoop around, she has been entered into the competition with her dog, Missy in the Easy on the Eyes category. During Missy’s judging, Natasha collapses and dies (there goes her prime suspect). Ivy is not happy with Darcy’s work and fires her (do you think this will stop Darcy). Ivy ends up changing her mind and rehires Darcy to find out what happened to Natasha. Unfortunately, this leads Darcy to another victim. Chip Goldman, Natasha’s friend (and sometimes boyfriend) is dead in his apartment. Are the two murders connected? Then pets from the extravaganza start disappearing. Someone is stealing them (can you believe that someone tried to steal Archie). What is going on? Darcy is determined to get to the bottom of it. Darcy is also dealing with fixing up of her new building (for her to live in and for As You Wish), her relationship with Nick (if she is ready for more), and trying to figure out the identity of the Elder. Life is never dull in the Enchanted Village. Gone with the Witch was a delight! I have enjoyed reading this series since the very first book. It is like visiting old friends each time I read addition to this series. I like Heather Blake’s unique take on witchcraft. While Gone with the Witch can be read alone (the author does a great job of explaining things), you really should read the whole series (You can see Darcy’s journey from the very beginning). Gone with the Witch is well-written and easy to read. I was drawn right into the story from the very first page. The book contains interesting and quirky characters that you want to get to know (I wish they were real). The Enchanted Village is a unique town that everyone (at least me) would like to live in (or at least visit often). Gone with the Witch has two mysteries, great characters, great setting, romance, and humor. All these elements (plus more) make an enjoyable novel. I give Gone with the Witch 5 out of 5 stars (which you know is very rare for me). The only thing I wish was that the two mysteries had been harder to solve (the petnapping and murders). I am eagerly anticipating the next book in A Wishcraft Mystery series (which will be out in October). I received a complimentary copy of Gone with the Witch from the author through the Cozy Mystery Review Crew in exchange for an honest evaluation of the novel.

An enchanting and magical read. I truly enjoyed Darcy and her friends and Enchanted Village during the events surrounding the Pawsitively Enchanting Pet Extravaganza. There's a mystery solved, another mystery revealed, with lots of excitement and character development. Gone With the Witch is the first book I have read in Heather Blake's Wishcraft series, and it was a pleasure to read. Even though I have not read the first five books in the series, I did not feel lost or feel that I had missed something crucial to this delightful tale. There is enough backstory included that it clued me in on many things that had previously occurred, without bogging the story down. It certainly makes me want to start the series with It Takes a Witch and really immerse myself in Enchanted Village and get to know all of its residents better and see what led up to the events occurring in this book. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When I pick up one of Heather Blake’s Wishcraft books, I am transported to the Enchanted Village with all the quirky, humorous, and often eccentric characters that I love. Even though there is always a murder, I can smile, laugh and feel like I am among friends. I love how a cleverly disguised witch themed tourist destination allows mortals and Wishcraters to live side by side in the Enchanted Village, unbeknownst to the mortals. The characters are well developed and their relationships with each other are always evolving. This sixth book in the series does not disappoint. The tone of the book and the charm of its characters and village are consistent with the previous books. The murder mystery kept me speculating until the end. Of course, there are several secondary mysteries, puzzling behaviors, and relationship developments that also kept me engaged in the well entwined plot. The Elder is finally revealed. Although I had already figured out who it was, it touched my heart to see how this unveiling played out. Despite the Enchanted Village’s murder rate escalating since Darcy’s and Harper’s arrival, I wish I could grab a coffee and pastry (from the Gingerbread House) and visit with all these fun characters on the green as Archie serenades us with show tunes. Is Darcy’s skin tingling? Even if my wish is not granted, the Witch and the Dead being released in October will allow me to escape to this magical village again. I wish it were October. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What could be better than a story about witches (Wishcraft, in this case), a mystery and several animals (some of whom even talk)??? I really enjoyed reading about the Enchanted Village and getting to know Darcy, her family and friends. The mystery centered around the Pawsitively Enchanting Pet Extravaganza in Salem, Massachussetts (a favorite place of mine to visit) and it contained plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing til the very end. What's even better is a second underlying mystery that involves Darcy's own family history. It was so exciting to witness a dream coming true for Darcy and her sister after so many years:). Gone With the Witch is the first book I've read in the Wishcraft series by Heather Blake. I came to know the characters and their back stories quickly and was fully immersed in the story line right away. I can't wait to go back and read through the rest of the series!! Kudos to Heather Blake for such a delightful, humorous and mysterious tale!!! I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I'm coming to this series late, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of this book, and I will be happy to go back to book #1 and catch up in reading these books. I like books with dogs, so having the plot center around the dog contests was an added bonus. Darcy is a very likable character and quite up to the task of solving the crime! Something that surprised me was the mystery that has apparently run through the series, the identity of the "elder" and in this book it is revealed, and it is quite emotional and touching. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Gone With the Witch by Heather Blake was such an awesome book. It had me thinking of who the Elder could be, who murdered Natasha, who was stealing the animals from the contest, and a bunch of other questions. This book starts off with Darcy taking the job for "As You Wish," her business now and right off the bat Darcy has a bad feeling about this assignment. From the beginning of this book Darcy has been on a whirlwind of emotions about the case and about everything else around her. I don’t really want to reveal too much about what happens in this book but it’s really good. I am happy to say that in this book we finally find out who the Elder is. I’m not going to say as the author doesn’t want anything like that to be spoiled for anyone that has yet to read the book. Happy guessing, unless you find the clues like a member of the Mystery, Inc. team. I love the enchanted village that this series is set in. The town square where most things happen is so picturesque, the small town heart if you know what I mean. The shops and the characters that live there are so great. I am happy to say that my rating for this book is five butterflies as it was that glamorous. Ms. Blake also has set up what might happen in the next book, The Witch and the Dead, which will be released in October of this year. If you can't wait for the next Wishcraft Mystery, check out Ms. Blake's other series the Magic Potions Mysteries. Anyways until the next time enjoy this book review brought to you by Baroness’ Book Trove. To read more of my reviews please visit my site: baronessbooktrove.com

Gone With the Witch by Heather Blake was an enchanting visit to one of my favorite towns, the Enchanted Village. Ms. Blake's stories never disappoint me as they are filled with well developed and quirky characters, humor, magical mysteries, a little romance and murder. I know that I will be pulled into the story from the first few pages and will not be available to "real life" until I have finished it. I loved it and look forward to the next one in the series.

Darcy is hired to watch for suspicious activity during the upcoming annual pet contest. She is specifically tasked with keeping track of Natasha, because her client thinks she may have sabotaged events in previous contests. But Darcy certainly doesn't expect murder to become part of the event. Feeling like she could have prevented this, Darcy is determined to continue her investigation. But in the meantime, she is getting anxious about learning the identity of the Elder...she will shortly be part of the community for one year, and entitled to be told this secret. This is the 6th book in the Wishcraft series and contains all the familiar characters, moving forward in several relationships and learning more about the Craft. I also loved the addition of Titania. I enjoy this series and now that the identity of the Elder is resolved, I look forward to the next book in this series.

What can I say? When you pick up one of Ms. Blake's books you know you are in for one fun read and this one does not fail to deliver. When Darcy is hired to check into sabotaging at the annual pet contest she is in for more than she expected. A body, pet snatching, attacks, and suddenly Darcy can be photograhed. This story will take you on twists and turns and that's one thing I love about this series, anything is possible. We also get the reveal of the Elder. I also love the developing friendhip with Glinda, they had me laughing quite a few times. I eagerly await the next in the series.

4.5 Stars Gone With the Witch was another wonderful addition to the Wishcraft series that had a great mystery that left me guessing until the end. There were, also, a couple of BIG reveals, one which got me a bit teary eyed. One of my favorite parts of the book was the addition of Cookie the Nigerian Dwarf goat. (I have several dwarf goats of my own and they are adorable little animals.) I hope she'll pop up again in future books. Heather Blake is one of the few authors on my 'auto-buy' list. Nobody does paranormal cozy mysteries like her. I've already preordered the next book, The Witch and the Dead, and can't wait to read it!

When it comes to making magical and mysterious seem real and plausible, author Heather Blake has a natural talent for creating the right elements. In GONE WITH THE WITCH, the sixth installment in Blake’s Wishcraft Mystery series, the combination of magic, murder, romance, mystery, and family comes together for an enchanting story. The smooth blend of these elements and more will hold you spellbound until the very end. Darcy Merriweather, owner of As You Wish, has been hired to oversee the annual Pawsitively Enchanted Pet contest in the Enchanted Village. The show’s organizer fears someone is trying to sabotage the even with ‘accidents.’ But when the lead suspect in the accidents winds up dead, Darcy has her hands full searching for a new suspect. To make matters worse, someone is snatching up prize winning pets. Darcy has to pull out all the stops to save the event’s reputation and possibly the village’s livelihood. Blake has created a spunky protagonist and a cast of quirky characters readers will be drawn to. The magical setting of the Enchanted Village comes to life through the author’s rich descriptions. The close-knit atmosphere of the community makes it a place readers will want to return to time and time again. The easy flow of dialogue moves the story at a steady pace, while the twists and turns keep you guessing. GONE WITH THE WITCH is an entertaining read that will delight you senses, make you smile (despite murder) and have you believing in wishes. This is a standalone book and can be read on its own. However, don’t be surprised if you feel compelled to check out the other books in the series as well. Readers get an added bonus in this book with a sneak preview of the next installment in the series, THE WITCH AND THE DEAD, coming in October. Get ready to be mesmerized with magical powers and feel-good sensations from this bewitching tale Blake has created. FTC Full Disclosure – A copy of this book was sent to me by the publisher in hopes I would review it. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.

A magical installment in the Wishcraft Mystery series. Things are as enchanting as ever in the Enchanted Village. Well, you know, with the exception of a dead body. But that’s all part of the fun isn’t it? You know, for us readers.  It’s mystical mayhem in the village when a pet contest brings death, and pup-napped pooches! Never fear, Darcy Merriweather is on hand to solve the case. With a stunning blend of mystery, magic, and excitement, GONE WITH THE WITCH is the perfect potion of a para-cozy mystery. The story flows at a delightful pace, is engaging, wonderfully written, and is guaranteed to keep readers spellbound. Check out the back of the book for a sneak peek of THE WITCH AND THE DEAD!
