I think most of us have had the experience of meaning well, but having the whole thing go very, very wrong. That's what makes Stephen so relatable of a character. His experience gives children (and the adults who care for them) plenty to talk about! This is a great book for those who feel "misunderstood," those for whom "nothing goes right," and those who might be tempted to just stop trying. This would be a great book for anyone working in an elementary school or with kids that age.

In this adorable children's book, Stephen tries his best to make everyone happy by using his good-deeds checklist. But it backfires in hilarious ways children (and adults) can relate to. Who hasn't tried to do something nice and unintentionally made a big mess of things? Definitely recommend this book.

This is a great book! Very cute, but also funny. I was laughing out loud at times. It's a character-building story for children to learn kindness and perseverance- to keep trying and not be hard on themselves no matter how many let downs they experience.

As someone who works with children... I loved this book! The pictures are great! The story is as entertaining as it is a teaching tool. Children have trouble understanding when to do things sometimes. This book helps with that.. and I loved the ending as well. This shows us how acts of kindness and good deeds really do make a huge difference!

Great lesson for children & adults. Keep pressing on even when things go unexpectedly. I could feel Stephens struggle as he continued to give his best efforts even though it went wrong. Every grade-school should have this book to encourage their young students.
