Overview

If you could improve, even remedy, the dysfunction in your local congregation, would you? Of course, we all strive for unity in various settings, but we often ignore direct instruction given in Scripture on how to treat others. This is an excellent small group study that will teach those principles and give practical instruction on how those should impact every life. Imagine the significant turnaround in today's society if such principles were practiced. God's design for close relationships is intentional. He means for our closeness with each other to be a benefit and a blessing. This six-week study is centered on the instructions in Scripture on how to treat one another. The following subjects are covered: love one another, forgive one another, submit to one another, pray for one another, fellowship with one another, minister to one another. A free Leader's Guide is available at randallhouse.com.

Church is meant to be one of those real-life places that both reveal and shape us. As with our families, the Lord intentionally puts us into a church as our spiritual family. He connects us with other people, and we experience life together. We live together with purpose, to reveal who God is by the way we interact with and love each other. Our interaction in the church is meant to be so powerful it's magnetic. OUCH! The reputaiton and reality is that churches are often relational messes. Individuals may look at the way church members interact with each other and with outsiders and wonder why anyone would ever attend church. Life so many families, churches can become places of conflict, dysfunction, and pain. But, this is not the way God intended it. He meant for church to be a wonderful, accepting, and encouraging place where hurts are healed and people become reflections of Jesus Christ. This study is about God shaping you into the kind of person who can make His Church (your church) that wonderful place.
