About the Author

Annie Kessee Dixon graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Prairie View A&M State University of Texas with a Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling, and Centenary College of Shreveport, Louisiana with a Certification in School Administration.

Annie is a retired educator who worked 36 years for Caddo Parish Schools in Louisiana. She taught kindergarten through fifth grade for many years.

Her husband's name is Fulton. Her family includes daughter Shelia who is married to Blair, and her son Greg. She has two grandchildren, Andre' and Caleb, who were the inspiration for this story.

In addition to writing, Annie likes gardening, exercising, reading, and traveling. She also enjoys decorating and volunteering in her community.

Annie also conducts workshops and programs for adults who deal with children and who want to learn more about multigenerational families and the issues they face. These workshops and programs are great for staff development, retreats, and book club events.
