About the Author

Lucille "Lu" Maurice Maistros grew up in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and now lives in a town very much like it on the Chesapeake Bay. Focusing on non-fiction, she served on the editorial staffs of a Vermont weekly shoppers' guide and New Jersey-based corporate publications. Her work has won awards from Writer's Digest and has appeared in various national publications. Her second in this series, Growing Up Colder, was published in 2009. She is currently working on the Growing Old Cold...the final in the series.
