Guess Who's at the Circus?

Third-grade student, Cara, goes to the circus for the first time and discovers something new. With the help of her teacher, Cara and her classmates learn about service animals and the responsibilities they have in helping people. Guess Who's at the Circus? teaches young readers in a fun and colorful way about these amazing animals with jobs.

Michael Zuaro is a proud father, animal lover, football fan, and educator. He has worked in the teaching profession for over 25 years. At age eight, Michael was evaluated at the Reading Research Institute in Massachusetts by Dr. Charles Drake and identified with a language-based learning disability known as dyslexia. Dyslexia made communication and reading a challenge, but Michael overcame these obstacles. He currently holds a Master of Science in Education/Learning Disabilities and has used his degree to help students strengthen their love of reading.

When the opportunity presents itself, Michael always takes time to share encouragement and advice with his students. Michael tells his students, "Do not let self-doubt get in the way of trying things outside your comfort level; play a sport, make new friends, and volunteer. Quite frequently, we face experiences only to realize afterward that the situation turned out much better than we originally thought."

Michael wants children of all ages to realize the importance of reading. With the right book in hand, the possibilities for growth, creativity, and wonderous experiences are all within grasp.
