About the Author

Robin Walker Shanks is an ordained Minister and 10-year survivor of breast cancer. She was born and raised in the city known for its rich history and beautifully preserved 18th century architecture, Alexandria Virginia. Located right outside of our Nation's Capital, the city is home to T.C Williams High School, made famous by the movie starring Denzell Washington, "Remember the Titans!" She continued her studies and followed lifelong aspiration to become a Nurse. A career that has spanned over four decades. Her faith in God and the support of her family provided a solid foundation though the turbulence and storms of cancer. She is married with one son, nine daughters and a dog named Kandi. She is a gifted and anointed singer best known as lead singer for the legendary Gospel quartet, The Singing Angels. She has traveled abroad, performed in plays, shared the stage with Grammy award winning musicians and national Gospel legends as well. She is the Founder and CEO of Kingdom Heart Ministries Inc, an Associate Minister at Harvest Assembly Baptist Church, currently on assignment as Interim Pastor at the New Pentecostal Church.
